Can't decide between a double or crew!!!!

I really prefer the 6-1/2' bed, I didn't have the loot to pony up for a crew with a 6-1/2' bed. I don't have kids, when I do I doubt they'll be making the payment so I'd imagine their opinion will not be very heavily weighted in the truck buying process lol. I always tell people the drivers seat is the most important one because that where the guy who makes the payment usually sits. I wouldn't mind having a crew cab but, I'd really want it to have a 6-1/2' bed.

Crew. If you're going to have 4 doors might as well be 4 full size doors.

Crew with 6.5' bed is what went with. I had a 2500 before just to have this combo so was happy that GM finally came around and offered it on 1/2 tons. Crew is nice with kids (needed the space when the seat was rear facing) and dog and nice to have a full 6.5' bed with a toolbox. It was hard to find my truck with the color and options but glad I kept looking.

Crew. My kids are 5 and 9 and those little legs keep getting longer so I wanted the extra room. Also nice to have greater interior room since with no one in back seat you can fold up seats and have all kinds of space. I don't carry much large stuff in bed so short bed fine with me. Can always hitch up utility trailer if needed. Also agree on styling, as IMO I think the crew looks better

Rode in the back of a DC before buying mine. Hated how upright the back seat is so I went crew for when I have passengers.

I got a double cab for the larger bed. I dont need any room for anyone, heck i would have been just fine with a single cab but those are ridiculous in price compaired to the doubles and crews.

I didn't really like it at first but man has it grown on me. Dont think i would have been very happy with a crew cab and the small bed.

I wanted the double cab for the longer bed until I actually went to dealerships and started test-driving both. Ended up going with a Crew Cab with 5'8" bed and I'm glad I did. I think anyone with younger kids would be glad they went with the Crew Cab.

I kinda wish they have the swing out door for the extended, so much easier to get stuff in /out of the back seat

That said, I went for the crew to get all my back seat space

Having never owned a truck before and coming from a Euro Wagon (2004/ S4 Avant) I knew from the start that I wanted four "real doors". I almost never have anyone in my back seat, it is primarily occupied by my dog and my expensive tools that I don't like keeping in the box. I'm probably one of the few who actively searched for CC/SB and 27,000 miles later I still have no regrets. The few times I do have people in the back seat I always get comments about how spacious and comfortable it is.

Double cab for me, no kids and rarely have passengers and have a SUV for long trips. The downside to the dbl cab is that it has less room than my 02 ext. cab did and the floor is not very flat. I don't like the looks of the crew cab either but if you have kids or haul adult passengers then the dbl cab would not be a very good choice.

I have 2 boys - 12 and 14. Double cab for many reasons, but price is top reason. Bed length and maneuverability. Also, I like to DC look better.

To each his own, but if you don't need it and don't want to spend the $$, then you probably have your answer.

I went with a DC just because of price and it had everything I wanted. Plus the extra bed length has already paid off a few times. I originally wanted a crew cab but this truck was everything I was looking for. 90% of the time I am the only one in it anyways.

I would go with the CC on looks alone. Never was a fan of dc as the doors give it a disproportioned look. But its up to you, does it in tje garage or do you have a car port etc.

I went with the double cab. Couldn't justify the extra cost of the crew. But as gmmckenzie said above, the rear seat backs do seem very upright. Then again, it's only my kids that ride in the rear seats and they'd rather ride in the bed if I'd let them.
