@Sijrado, it'll probably say it's not compatible due to the fact that GM did not install that cluster in the Silverado.  Just ensure that's it's a 2018 cluster and it's the correct fuel type depending on what the pickup you're getting is, get it programmed by WAMS and you should be good.  If it's a gasser, the P/N you found should be the same as what's available in the Premier trim SUV's.

Update to this project. I can confirm that the servo boards from at least a 2017 cluster will swap over to the 2015's. So those of you with more money than time can simply swap the boards and faces from a 2016 with blue or 2017+ cluster. That makes this about a 30 minute job and much easier. and for what its worth, the screens are also interchangeable as well. No that you gain anything from swapping them.

So I could swap the blue version Denali cluster into my 15 is what you are saying?

No that is not the case. You still need a 2015 cluster for a 2015. You can however take the servo boards from a blue cluster and put them in your 2015 cluster to give you blue physical guages. I have a pretty extensive thread on this in the 2500hd section. There is a link a page back.

Ah. Yea I’m not gonna buy 2 clusters to make that work then lol. Dang it. I really don’t wanna switch everything over to red either

Yes this is the expensive but "easy" route to get the guages blue. The other way is a bit more involved.... But hey, the whole thing is pretty expensive when it's done.

Coming into this thread late & I will admit, I did not read all the way through.  Is there info anywhere showing what's involved to do HUD?  I have a 2018 Sierra SLT & it has the hole in the dash for the accident avoidance lights, does the HUD use the same opening, or different & require modification?  And will the warning lights still function?

Thanks

Scot

It is not the same opening.  I've been investigating this for my Silverado and I know you will need the HUD module, HUD switch, wiring for the switch, the cable from the cluster to the HUD unit and the HUD compatible windshield, not to mention the programmed cluster..  You will also need to retrofit installing the HUD unit in the dash and covering it along with mounting the HUD control switch.  I've been looking into how to retrofit it to look OEM but have not spent the money on parts to start cutting up to try.  This is on my to-do list though.  If you wanted to get crazy, swap the SUV interior into the pickup but there are still some switches that will still need a home that aren't present in an SUV though.

Ok guys some new developments today:

First and foremost against my better judgement I've gone ahead and compiled a "short list" of part numbers for the various years. This is JUST for normal Denali retrofit not for say a Tahoe cluster in a Silverado etc. We STILL need to verify these part numbers prior to purchase just to make sure we've got all of the details and your build correct.

The attachments are for GAS US SPEC ONLY. These are not for Diesel, Canadian, export etc.

IT IS STILL PARAMOUNT THAT YOU DO NOT PLUG THESE INTO YOUR VEHICLE UNTIL WE HAVE PROPERLY RETROFIT PROGRAMMED IT. THIS IS FOR YOUR PROTECTION NOT OURS. Seriously; its that important.

Second we've added a product just for this service on our website with more details and specific choices which we hope will make things easier. Also if you have upgraded to NAV or Front Parking assist etc please put that in the notes and we'll turn those functions on for you in the cluster (we can also suppress warnings etc).

Thirdly we are able to properly retrofit Escalade clusters into K2XX vehicles however due to the extra programming labor and fitment required normally never advertised it but figured we'd throw that out.

Last but not least we are officially offering 16+ module retrofit into older vehicles that have had -THE COMPLETE CAR PLAY UPGRADE DONE- (read that again its important lol). The complete car play upgrade would be a matched pair of Radio AND HMI module replaced from a 2016+. Sadly a lot of aftermarket vendors are half assing this upgrade and only replacing the HMI which causes numerous issues.

This is a major pain in the butt as we have to verify you got the right radio/HMI unit but it will allow for full correct display of Radio, the Speed limit sign as well as the sought after carplay/android auto voice control from the steering wheel. We may also be able to now back port 2017 (and possibly 18) modules back to other 16/17's however this will be on a case by case custom basis and will require extra billable labor.

Are the 3 numbers listed for the 2018 just different PN's for the same part? It's just been superseded twice? Or am I missing something, which is likely.

Side note: what should the dealer charge to program the cluster once its installed?

Superseded. Dealer can’t do any of this so they aren’t involved at all, we have to do all the programming.

So, I buy the cluster from the dealer then send it to someone to program my mileage and my vin to it, then install it?

@Bubbles, if you purchase the cluster from a dealer, they may charge you a core charge if you don't have the exact cluster for them to return, just an FYI.  Once you purchase one, send it to www.whiteautoandmedia.com (WAMS) after purchasing the programming through their website.
