So I'm posting this to inquire about mudflaps. I've been looking to find mudflaps for my 2007 GMC Sierra Classic, but I have yet to find any flaps that look decent and are for fitting. I want some heavy flaps due to the fact that my rockers panels and the area behind my rear tires are starting to rust out (which I'm working on fixing), and I was wondering if anyone's ever used/installed these? They look decently heavy and supposedly work with my truck, so I was wondering how difficult the install was. I'm also wondering about mudflaps for the front tires? Do I get form-fitting for the front and these for the back? Or does mis-matching front and rear mudflaps look too...I don't know....tacky?

TL:DR - Need a decent set of mudflaps, does mis-matching mudflaps look ridiculous?

If you're wondering why I'd want mudflaps for standard driving, I live in New York (Northern Region), so the truck is in an area of constant "F*ck you and your vehicle" conditions. Plus, the last owner didn't wash the truck often, so there's a lot of corrosion. I was the truck and take care of it very well, but I'd like to be able to reduce the chance of corrosion as much as possible.

Here's some pictures of the current condition of my vehicle, ironically enough it's raining as I take these photos:

Note the black rocker panel is on the driver's side. My father and I sanded it down, cleaned it, applied some Bondo, and rather than re-painting them, we applied bed liner in order to provide better protection.

I didn't like the mud flaps I kept finding, until I found Dura Flaps. You can buy "off the rack" for your application, or custom order. Very nice people to deal with. Family run, not a big manufacturer. USA made.

I can send you some pics or try to post.

Good luck

Wow those prices are not fun, but I suppose they'll pay for themselves in the end. Thanks for the recommendation, I never knew about this site.

Yes the prices are high, but you will be pleased and proud of what you get. Heavy duty construction, the weights won't rust, neither will the hardware. Once I opened the box, and more so when I saw them on the truck...I forgot the exact price. Pretty sure members of this site and The Diesel Place website get 10% discount.

Meant to tell you, you'll talk to Dennis, Jessica or Nina, not pushy, no fast talking, upselling, no rush to get your order and hung up, just honest people who really take their time to listen to you, talk to you and make you happy. That's a rarity nowadays.

On Edit-people love to spend others money. Hope it didn't come off that way. But what suits your needs and wants. If you find something that you like better, it sure is none of my business and won't hurt my feelings. You gotta make only yourself happy and content. :)

Just ordered a pair of rear flaps 140.00 with the stainless steel weights. Hope they're as good as you say they are ;D
