Why do I have to stumble upon threads like this? More money spent

Some are FREE!!  Some day, I'm going to re-read through all of these, and make a list, starring (*) the ones that I have done and highlighting the ones I'm planning on.

Well...I picked up a new right side handle (part number 22923598) off eBay for $20.69 with free shipping so I will swap out the cap without the key hole when it gets here. I had a eBay coupon so I used it and got a pretty good deal, now I will have a spare handle should I ever need one

Pseudo-keyless entry?

Nice mod.

Well sort of I guess lol, I did it so the lock cylinder is not ripe for the popping. As long as my fob and truck battery are good I will never need the key. I thought of this when I read another members thread about his truck getting broken into. I figure this MIGHT just persuade some stupid thief to move along to an easier target. Even if I get locked out, I will just drill through the end cap and use my key but for now I’m just hoping it works as a deterrent.

Here is the thread that better explains it:

Yeah, I'm a sucker for a "good read" too.

Tried out the “freakin genius” mod. Unfortunately, I heard no difference except the rattle was gone. Oh well. Guess I’ll just have to buy a muffler for a deeper tone. Thanks for the tip though

[emoji23] I bought one of the cheap 5m wheels of led on amazon. I used like 1.5-2 feet of the strand for the grill I believe

I was thinking of doing that in the bed. Never did it before. Can I just tap into the bed lights or do I need a fuse? Again, I’m a noob

Same as the guy above I'm sure, I used 50/50 60led/M that come on the 5m spools for a couple bucks.  I used a full 5m for my grill and wheel well lights of the 5000k white strips.  For the wheel wells I got the already waterproofed led strips then put them in some waterproof sleeves then pumped the sleeve full of clear epoxy, since they are exposed to so much more abuse that most other places.  For the grill lights I just used the waterproof LED then epoxied over them to hold them in place.   To get good results you are going to need to learn to solder.

You can just tap into the existing bed lights they are already fused/protected.
