Help me make my truck look better

Hi everyone, so I have a 2009 silverado 1500 in the work truck trim and I am looking for ideas on how to improve its appearance. So far all I have done is put a tonneau cover on it, bug deflector, and lights. I'm just trying to look less like a plumber , and personalize my truck so it actually stands out. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

It's a good looking truck as it is. Maybe have the grille painted in white and a nice set of aluminum take-off wheels from another truck.

Thanks! I was thinking the same thing for the grille. Those wheels would be a nice touch also, the ones on there now have curb rash and have small rust spots.

I would say that the less "cosmetics" you do it, the better. Functionality has a beauty all its own! Start with the truck's performance, then work on aesthetic stuff. That's my recommendation!

Oh! One more thing - sound is beauty! Give it a mean exhaust!

Some take off factory rims from a 16 or 17, exhaust IF is a v8, tint the windows, upgrade grill and bumpers to either chrome or color match. Body side molding to prevent door dings (chrome or color match), and wash the damn thing!

Shoes make all the difference... decide what you like... higher ? Lowered ? mono scale, or dripping with chrome ? Wheels and tires will make the biggest statement of all your future endeavors !!!

window tint , color match - Grill ,Bumpers , Black Bowtie's with Black letter's , and a nice set rim's / tires ( Black my choice)

I would definitely add some different rims, tint, color matched mirror caps, and maybe color match some of the front of the truck. I would also take the badging off of the doors, especially since the truck has no side moldings.

If your into the look, cleared headlights (ones with no reflectors) look good, a decent set of HID's that last a couple years are only $35 on ebay. I personally love the look of tow mirrors on any truck. You could crank the torsion keys up and get the front end a little higher or just go with new keys. I agree tint looks good.

Agree with many others. #1 difference and and always FIRST for me has always been the right wheel/tire combo on any vehicle. That will set up apart more than any other extior cosmetic mode IMO. I just put the largest tires (diameter/width) 305/55x20 I could put on my new 2016 LS Double Cab without any rub or driveability (quiet ride, good balance) and leveled front with a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks as opposed to cheapo level kit. I also like very clean look and some debadging. I removed the huge billboard bowtie on the tailgate for now, may remove the Silverado emblems on the side. Check out the huge 2014 2015 2016 wheel and tire thread here for some ideas. It took me 3 weeks to decide. Pay more attention to wheel offset the larger you go. If it isn't a 4x4 with major lift, I've never liked tires sticking much outside the body lines, just fill up the big@$$ wheel wells.

I would tint at 20% all the way around - strip up front on the windshield. Color match the grille and replace the bowtie with one in black - or - color match the entire front end. Go with some take off wheels to replace your steelies, chrome would look good, black also would look good. You could do a 2.5" level and some 33" tires too.
