Z71 style decal for LS custom

Recommended Posts

I really like the look of the rear fender decals on Z71, FX4, FX2, STX. I would like to get something made up for my truck in that style but i don't want it to look to dumb or out of place.

maybe LScustom or figure out something from the VIN that denotes LS custom.

Any ideas?

I was just looking through RPO codes, Z85 is for standard suspension. I have seen those decals before didn't know what it meant but it looks like it may apply to mine.

Isn't the LS custom pretty much just a step up from a work truck? Not dogging you, just asking.

Personally, I like the clean no decal look, but others like it.

yeah but I am really happy with it. It is everything i needed. I am just trying to be different with the decal thing.

I think the LS custom package is kind of a throw back to what a nice truck used to be. It came with nice wheels, it has the painted bumper cover, chrome mirrors and handles, V8 with a good rear axle ratio, and a basic no frills interior. 10/15 years ago that would have been the top of the line truck.

All that for under 24k before ttl.

What more do you need?

Just looked at the RPO codes it has Z60 suspension package which is the sport suspension. Apparently if you get 20s and not Z71 then you get the Z60 sport suspension. They actually have decals already for Z60. That sounds like the way to go and still be legit.

Assuming you have a 4x2? I'd consider badging it a SS. GM hasn't had a SS truck in a while but essentially, that's how your's is setup with the Z60 suspension. Don't know if too many truck guys would know or even care if a truck had Z60 decals, but bet you'd get a lot of looks and questions on how you ordered a SS package.

I have a 4x2 custom, and for a while I ran Z82 (RPO code for the tow package) decals on it. Looked nice, eventually I just got bored with it.
