2016/2017 GMC Sierra grille removal any easier?

Hey guys, like the title says, is the 16/17 GMC Sierra 1500 grilles easy like the silverado ones now or are they still harder and you need to take off bumper pad etc.. I wanna color match my shell and am wondering how hard it is before I get too involved. I searched the forum and lots of info on 2014 and 2015 but couldn't find any for 16/17. Thanks for any help guys.

Mayne this will help. Not nearly as easy as Silverados. Looks like you have to remove that upper bumper valence piece to access the lower bolts to the grill.

Thx for the reply and video, that sucks they make it soo much more involved with the GMC's... chevy takes like 5 mins to get grille out. Thx again for the video, it shows the process good.

didn't want to make a new topic. Does the shell come off of the grill? Want to colormatch just the shell and not the middle part of the grill.
