What's your oil consumption?

I'm using about a quart a year between changes.  I'm running Amsoil 0w20 signature series and the top of line Amsoil filter and do a change once a year ( 12,000 mi).   Am I nuts for doing this?  I used to use M1 and change twice a year on my last vehicle.  I'm also buying the AFM delete thing from Range....so we shall see if that helps with that quart between changes.

The oil change interval has been discussed many times on here along with the brand of oil and oil filter.

Guys.. 2014 slt with 99600 miles. i got it at 82k miles used.

Im on 6500 miles of my DIY oil change of 7500 intervol and the warning came on, checked the dip stick and level was under the lower mark, is that 2qt?

At this point i dont know if i should even try to go to the dealer for this? By the time they do the measuring process and confirm i will be well into the 100k.

 

I added 8qt during my last change, Mobil 1 0w-20

2014 SLE - 39+K miles now. Bought in May this year with 29K miles. Did not check first change as I wanted Mobil 1 0w20 in it right away. Post 6K mile change out, 2 quarts low. Awaiting to see if trend continues, as I am not sure what oil the original owner put in it. FYI - no catch can or tune, all original as delivered.

Been doing 10K changes uses 200ml or 1/4 qt.....Going 12k on this next one and was still trending the same...probably be closer to 1/2 qt by 12K

According to the '14 owners manual......

 

When to Add Engine Oil
If the oil is below the cross-hatched area at the tip of the dipstick, add 1 L (1 qt) of the recommended oil and then recheck the level.

1 qt over6500 miles they're going to tell you 'normal'.  I'd tend to agree on a 100,000 mile engine.

2014 3.5yrs old 26k miles and no oil consumption.  I have AFM turned off since 8000miles

2015 gmc sle 5.3 29,000 all stock 0 oil consumption.

2014 5.3 Silverado consuming about 5 quarts per oil change, and I usually change oil at 20%. Funny thing is when Chevy was changing my oil they never told me that it was burning oil. Just started the oil consumption test today.

2017 5.3, stock, 20500 miles.

Oil changes at 20% (approx. every 6000 miles). So far no oil consumption that I can see.

2014 that I have owned for a little over a year (30K when purchased, ~50K today) - change intervals at 6K (me anyways), 0W20 from my changes - down ~ 1Qt each drain. Everything stock as new

Something is wrong, I have AFM on and I am not burning oil, is that right guys? I just checked last night at 43% OLM remaining. I thought AFM was junk and burns quarts of oil each month? My buddy had over 200k on his tahoe with no oil consumption issues, that can't be right.
