i want to make 550 hp on 4l60e

hi I have a 2009 GMC Sierra with a 5.3 L engine with 4l60e transmission with 4x4 and I want to make 550  horsepower how can I achieve that thnx

Most of it through supercharging.  Dump the AFM from your LC9 and put in a nice cam, converter, headers and exhaust and that'll pretty much put you there, plus some kind of good air filter and of course a "tune".  Black Bear has some nice supercharger kits and they of course are excellent tuners.

To live with that much horsepower it will certainly need to be rebuilt and "hardened".  I am ignorant at this time on that subject.

Best answer is switch to a 4L80. The 4l60 is weak, even a built one will have a hard time holding up to 500+hp. The cost of trying to build your transmission will likely be around the same as swapping to a 4L80 anyways.
