Any 2017 or 2018s with Bilstein 5100s?

Recommended Posts

Anyone with a 2017/18 who went the Bilstein route and had the steering popping noise? Seems this is the preferred and safest option.

I've kinda made my mind up to go with Bilsteins instead of spacers due to the fact that I've read numerous cases of steering issues with spacers. Just figured I'd feel the water before jumping in.

Thanks!

Some of the popping noise could be from the top hat nut not being tightened enough.

This is explained in the Bilstein thread.

Thanks, that's good to know! What I'm really interested in is if anyone with 17/18 year truck that has had the steering box go out after just using the Bilstein shocks, like many have with spacers.
