Front end suspension/steering replacement parts

Looking for what else you guys recommend to replace. I Noticed one of my tie rod grease boots was busted, planning to replace both inner and outer tie rods, sway bay end link, sway bar bushings.

Anything else while I’m under there and have to get an alignment? Mileage is at 78,000 miles.

Looking to use MOOG parts. Running 33’s so if anyone else has upgraded to something beefier let me know!

Doing the inner tie rods seems a bit overkill, I rarely ever see those go bad because we have steering racks. I've got zero play at 118,000 miles and my truck is lowered some.

Otherwise just check the ball joints, nothing else you can really do for replacement parts at that point.

these trucks have smallish rod ends, they cant handle too much stress offroading, if your a 4x4 on 35's I would replace em or find a stouter upgraded part if you go wheeling and ur lifted

Recommend the beefy front swaybar, really helps handling on road

I just replaced my 2.5" lift with another one, installed new brake rotors/pads, and replaced the front sway bar while I was working on the front end. I also have 33" tires. I went with the Hellwig front sway bar and Duralast gold sway bar end links. I'm a moog guy like you, but their end links were on back order and the Duralast gold end links have great reviews - so I went with them because I didn't have time to wait. $35 for the pair and it's a barrel nut design, super easy install. No noise and they've held tight so far. The Hellwig front sway bar is worth every penny. It's solid (unlike the hollow stock sway bar) and they angle the ends in a bit more so you get no rubbing from wider tires. The truck handles corners SO much better now, I love it.

Next for me is to replace the control arms and outer tie rod ends. I'm at 170k miles and surprised the joints have held up this long. Following this thread to see what people recommend. Below are pics of the sway bar and end links installed as well as compared to the stock sway bar/end links.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on some front end parts. Baby #2 is due at the end of the month so I want to get this done now. Here is what I went with, keep in mind I have the cast (forged) steel UCAs and LCAs, so confirm which ones you have first before ordering anything - it can matter. Also, since my bushings and joints all need to be replaced I went with getting complete sets of everything, including the arms. To me the price difference was close enough to not have to deal with prying out ball joints or bushings - just quickly swap the entire assembly. I read all kinds of forums and watched review videos for a lot of brands. I feel confident with what I went with, just depends on how much you want to spend and how long you want your parts to last (if you plan to keep your truck a while or sell/trade in the near future).

UCAs: Cognito 110-90295 (Amazon had a new pair on sale for $460). I liked that the ball joint could be easily replaced, 4 bolts vs pressed.

LCAs: Moog RK620889 and RK620888 ($220 total on Amazon).

Tie Rod Ends (outer): Kryptonite KR800948-2 (Bought as pair on Amazon for $105).

while your dropping money Uprgrade the front rotors and calipers to the T1 truck front brake system,,  the hellwig rear bar make it handle even better on the street. feels like a BMW

if your not gonna upgrade to a T1 brake, I would get heat treated rotors, or have OEM cryo treated and EBC pads to replace the stock pads.  stock rotors like to get warped when hot
