Sunday funday. Time for armor (diff skid plate, fuel tank skid, true rock sliders) and a new front bumper.  I hit a different trail practically every weekend. I love this truck.5cffd3d0daa6f_TrailBossClimb6-9-19.thumb.jpg.d69c5afd41b1ac2002a4fd78b3e520d9.jpg

Correct,  hub centric means the wheel is centered on the hub. So then, the thickness (depth) of the hub is 8mm. Using a 6mm (1/4") spacer only leaves 2mm left to grab onto the hub and with the taper at the end of the hub and the taper of the wheel bore, there's no more left for the wheel to fit over the hub to keep it hub centric which in turn now makes it lug centric and now relies on the lugs to center the wheel instead of the hub . Like I said, not a good thing on these GM trucks which are designed to be hub centric and not lug centric.  A 3mm (1/8") spacer is max thickness to keep it hub centric ?.

I would love to keep it within that spec then. Has anyone found any spacers that small? Pretty sure that would still clear for me.

So this is my first ever post. I got a steal of a deal on a new shadow Grey 2019 RST dual cab with all of the goodies. Allstar package , convenience package, max tow package, and solid black 22 inch wheels. Yes, those last two options do come as a package. It’s on my window sticker.
Today I added, the premium all weather Chevy floor mats, Chevy rear fender liners, back floor liner, bed extender, spray in liner from line X, matte black window visors, front and rear Chevy splash guards, a Chevy tailgate gap filler, a center console organizer with sunglasses holder (a must for me), replaced all the chrome Silverado badges with black
emblems, and my flowmaster American Thunder kit will be here on Wednesday.
The dealership did the spray in liner because I added it to my deal and they also gave me $1000 parts credit. That’s why I went overboard with a GM certified parts, well except the exhaust. Thanks again to my boy Big Bertha for helping me out on the installs, and for parking that beautiful 2500HD next to my 2016 Colorado everyday until I upgraded lol.
So far the community has been great, 3 2019 models have stopped at a light next to me and gave a thumbs up or a nod. Its not like driving my Jeep and getting a million waves but it is nice to see others showing you some love. All of my phone pics seem to be too large so I will figure that out and create a build page later.
When you get the Flowmaster in I'd be curious to know if you get any weird sounds from DFM...I almost went this route but went with the OEM cat back instead. Loved the Flowmaster on my 16 when AFM was disabled but bugged me once it was back on.

Yes, I haven't had any made but inquired about them when I was wheel shopping a few months back.   There's only one company who will do a hub centric 3mm aluminum spacer.  They're $105 a set. Ask for Lenny.  Good luck!

Post a pic once done! Care to share how much all said and done?

Here are the before and after pics, picked up my truck today.  6 coats of Raptor liner (spray on) followed with a coat of clear coat, cost me $200 ($50 for parts, $150 for labor) to have it done.  Super happy with the results, looks soooo much better than wheel liners!  They did have to keep my truck over night to finish all the coats and let it dry.  Said no gravel roads for another 5-7 days to let it totally cure.

Not sure, I had all kinds of problems finding someone to do it.  I ended up asking the shop that did my wheels and tires if they knew anyone and he gave me his number.  Turned out, it was more of a semi/large truck shop, but they did bedliners and stuff.  The shop highly recommned them so I went with it.  They did an awesome job and super nice!  Going back in the future to get the calipers painted. :)  I would call around, check all the truck shops that sell bed liners and check any Line X vendors around you.

Congrats bro! How do you like it?

Can you post a side shot of your truck with the goRhino sidesteps. Been looking at grabbing a set of these also.

Thanks!

Great so far , just getting used to the fuel consumption, since comming from a previous mid size diesel truck it’s a big difference, but no complains at all.

the side steps are very useful and not as bulky as the oem ones, took about 30 mins to install both sides

I had them wrapped. A lot of shops wouldn't touch them, said they were too complicated (the Grill).  When I walked in to the last shop and saw the guy wrapping a new McLaren I figured he knew what he was doing.  Eventually I'll probably swap the out for painted bumpers from a wreaked truck.  New bumpers from GM are too expensive right now.

    • I usually do as well or better than the sticker for mileage. Usually better going west than east. North then South. Wind makes a difference. I’m not usually a conspiracy theorist. But it did dawn on me I’m going by the vehicle calculation. Now that would be interesting.

    • What’s missing in all this is patience and investment in the future. Buy a 170K starter home. Ten years later sell it invest in a more expensive home. Eventually you’ll have a 600K home and pay starter home payments. Buy a starter car. Maintain it well. Save the payments after it’s payed for then buy an expensive car if you desire. Buy a tumbler make your own coffee, pack your lunch. Cook your own dinner. Most importantly take care of your car.
    • People mislead themselves. Statistics are highly useful indicators.   Here's the tie-in to this thread. If an oil sample tests shows a wear indicator of 7 using cheaper ACDelco oil, and a wear indicator of 2 (lower = less wear) using a particular brand of Mobil oil, and wear has a linear relationship with engine lifespan, anyone could assume that Mobil is reducing wear by more than 50% (let's just say a 200% reduction for you red state people trying hard to do math) which leads to increasing engine life by 2x. Perhaps, in a vacuum, by itself, when dreamed by AI.   Yeah?! That's what the statistic is saying, isn't it?   No, it isn't. It didn't come out and say engine life is doubled. That's a very bad assumption, and a case of severe myopia by assuming something potentially untrue about the only data point in focus.   Average cost of a new car is 50k. You bet it is.   The median cost of a new car is more like 35k. Expensive cars are skewing the perception that "average" now means a $50k price of entry for a very average automobile. And that's not true. People who don't understand statistics twist the living heck out of them to mean all sorts of things they don't actually mean.   "Average" new car payment is $1000/month. Yep, it is. And in that number are all the $35k new car buyers who bring significant equity, and the $25k new car buyers who finance the car for a month just to get a rebate, and then pay it off. Know what isn't in that number? All the payments made by people who don't finance a car.   Picking one's own data point (don't have a car payment, never paid $50k for a new vehicle, my house cost $170k, I afforded a middle class lifestyle on $4.50/hr) is just a data point. Just like earning $25/hr in an area where the median home price is almost $1 Million is a data point. In fact, it's a lot of data points given that 80% of the US population lives in/around major cities. They're not idiots; the vast majority of them do it to make a living because that's where the big money is.   The highs have become higher, lows have become lower, and how your personal mileage varies is not truth for an entire country. At the same time you can't NOT acknowledge the data. While it doesn't paint YOUR personal picture, it certainly tints the reality that you also live in, as does your single data point.
    • Glad you had success with it. I did as well, but about 5-6 months later it returned. Tried again, same result. This was after the dealer made several attempts and never even got it to slow down.
