Well around here in the KC area, dealership Sales departments are lacking in the information department.

Not just GM, but others as well. I will say Honda and Nissan dealers around here have the most knowledge about their vehicles. Still not perfect, but way better than GM

Go to Erik Fish at McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet in Overland Park. Super cool, laid-back, salesman that knows his stuff when it comes to Silverados and the T1 series.

Found out if you are super low on gas, you get a "LOW" on the DIC - was showing about 30 miles to go, and then this popped up....   squeezed 23 Gallons in.....

Good heavens, man. Gas is $2.16 here in TX. That's $34 less per fill up for me than you. ?

We're paying on average right now about $4.50 a gallon here in winnipeg and that is low right now.  Back in the summer we were paying between 5 and 6 a gallon.

All I can say is I'm glad to be in Alberta.

First time poster, long time lurker. Found one a while back and not sure if it's been posted yet. Actually the kids get credit, they found hidden compartments in the back seat on my 2019.

if you're paying $2.16 for gas you're pumping the cheap low 87 octane gas, 93 octane is averaging $2.70 gal

as much as I'd like to pump the lesser priced gas the 6.2 loves 93 octane, I figure the cost is justified in better performance and increase in MPG

Yep, you need it for that, the 5.3 will run on anything

Would you say they're good enough not to bother getting towing mirrors when I get a 2020? I'll probably pull a ~24 ft travel trailer a handful of times a year.

A little late on this one , but I had a 2017 LTZ Z71 2500hd with the tow mirrors and really liked them, my 2019 1500 LTZ Z71 with tow package mirrors work just fine. I recently towed my travel trailer 4000 miles without any issues. There were a couple of times that I wished I had the bigger mirrors but managed just fine.

Found out today while furiously scrolling through contacts that if you scroll the wheel really fast it pops up a menu to scroll by letter! Pretty neat especially as I heavily rely on my phone in my truck for work! Now if the engine light would stop coming on....

While investigating an attachment point for my light bar I found these fins/vanes in front of the radiator. They look like they rotate and all connected by a rod that is most likely controlled by a servo. My guess is that they're there to restrict airflow in super cold temperatures to allow the engine to run at optimal temp.
