That's what I did, added the Kent sealant myself.  So far, so good.  I water tested it for a week with the headliner down.  Rain and with a hose.  There were some spots the tech missed when he applied the sealant.  Once  I gave it an even level of sealant across the top, all leaks stopped.

Do you mind sharing your specific technique you used with the Kent application?

I have a 2021 Trail boss and after reading this thread, am considering doing the sealant repair myself.   I traded in a Yukon Denali with the 8 speed, with nothing but issues, and already working on this next issue with the TB now. Slightly disappointed to say the least.  Come on GM.

I have been a lurker on this forum for years. I have a few Gm diesels 2 6.6 Dmax, a 6.5 and a 6.2. I have been waiting to see the reviews and reports on the 3.0 and want to order a Lt with the diesel off road package with the 3.73 gears and this damn leaking rear window is stopping me! You can’t get it loaded like I want without out the slider. This drives me nuts!

Yup, I just followed the TSB linked above.  There was another pdf on how to drop the headliner I'll post it here. Headliner.pdf

Bought a tube of my own Kent Sealant.

I took the whole headliner down.  Left the spoiler on at first and water tested with a hose.  I had a leak from one of the spoiler holes.  Bad gasket from one of the retainers.  My leak was different after I took it in to GM.  My first leak was down the corners like everyone here.  After the fix, the leak was coming from inside the headliner because I would go through a car wash and it would be fine.  Then the first hard stop in traffic, my headliner corner would be soaked.  Water was pooling on the top side of the headliner.  I suspect the tech wasn't careful and mutilated the gasket accidentally.  I ordered a new retainer from GM.  It comes with the gasket.  But I still had a slight trickle of water on the driver side.

There was some sealant missing or fairly thin near and above the slider itself.  But the left and right corners had plenty of sealant.  So I just filled in the middle top section with more sealant until it was level to the top of the glass.

And that fixed the leak.  I realized that even though the leak was dripping on the inside driver side rear.  The source of the water was travelling from the center top of the sliding window.  I suspect the adhesive they (Fuyao) used to glue the glass to the plastic frame is either poor quality or not done right.

Be happy to help anyone wanting to do this themselves.

Added an oil leak to my window leak. Going for the 2019 hat trick I guess.90DE061A-6853-4676-93AB-502F10E1E24D.thumb.jpeg.77cf45f259a33de65a700b99e9f3d918.jpeg

Off to the dealer. Hopefully the line will hold another 20 miles.

Had the same thing. I’m on my last window fix before it’s lemon lawed. It’s in right for leaking oil lines.. I can’t catch a break.

Just picked up my '21 SLT after the first repair. The truck has only 350 miles on it and started leaking after about 250 miles. The dealer uses an outside glass specialist that has done a lot of rear window leak repairs on the T1s. They pulled the spoiler and filled the top gap on the window with sealer as per the TSB. They didn't see any cracks but they did indicate the sealer applied to the top of the window from the factory was minimal at best. In looking at it I can see how much sealer they laid across the top of the window gap and it looks like they did a good job in filling the gap. They said they also checked the body seams and also made sure the spoiler has a good seal. They did a good job in that the truck doesn't look like it has been touched.

I know the service manager personally and he said kept checking on the job while they were working on it. They are confident they stopped the leaks.

I'm hoping for the best, but the next time it leaks I'm going to replace the slider with the solid glass.

Do let us know "if" it does leak in the future. ?

I certainly will. I will also continue to monitor this thread to see how others are making out.

Just picked my 19 RST up from the 2nd sealer job, they were laughing that they "poked a hole" but could not explain where or what. They told me over the phone that the headliner was cleaned but still has a massive stain. I will try to get it clean myself. Now I will start the adventure of trying to trade it for a solid window. I need to clean the outside of the window because there is some sealer that spilled over but they can't see that apparently just like the headliner is "clean".

I would not accept that job.  That's horrible.

Yeah this is their 3rd time cleaning it...I just need to get it in a good enough state to get rid of it at this point. The window is going to leak again...

Absolutely nuts, have them replace it?  Mine leaks. but not that bad, just mainly down the widow and into where the seat bolts and jack are.  I haven't even taken it in at all, for these reasons exactly...

I wanted them to replace it at the beginning, I have been talking to Laura from the Executive Resolution Team, she talked to them twice about ordering a headliner but they ignore it along with not having listed on the work order. After seeing the work that they do, I don't really want them removing the windshield and trim just to destroy it all. Everything with this deal is a fight and like many other people we should not have to be dealing with this at all...

    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
