I guess i should be more specific, im pretty sure when the dealer leveled it they did a 2” front spacer. Think itll fit a 35 with minor trimming?

It will be tight with minor trimming and rub some. You’d have to really get in there and zip tie back the liner and major trimming to have zero rub at full lock and sharp turns

Question for TB/AT4 owners, are you seeing CV boot clearance issues with the bottom spacers since ours technically have a longer axle than standard? If so or not, what size spacer are you using? I was thinking about 1”-1.5” but if this is an issue at full droop, then I’ll look at other options.

Turn your wheel full left or right. Start jacking up one side. I was about three inch's up with the jack. Tire still in contact with the ground. The boot was making contact. Took my 1.5 lower spacer out. Not the trail boss. Went with leveling shock instead. PS changing my name to still squid.

been riding over  36 years. brand new tire on 2016 Yamaha FJ09. Just finished washing the wife's car. Pushed the bike out through the soapy water. Took right out of the driveway. To the stop sign. Stop signal turn left. Start going  up hill. The back tire just broke lose. I high sided. Bike went down on  the right side. Came down  on my right shoulder. Broke my clavical in three places. fracture in right arm. Had full gear on. Don't  know what I was think when I shut the traction control off. I should have let the tire brake in before the the fun starts. I never had this happen in all my years riding.  Surgon call me monday get me in. Already to the bike apart with my one good arm. Order the parts from bikebandit. Stay safe out there. Still squid

No leveling kit on his truck so you can compare the UCA angles

The angle on yours isn’t bad at all. Wonder why everyone is saying that it is. I’m coming from a Toyota Tacoma with King 2.5s w/adjusters and billet UCAs and I’ve always been the one to advise against spacer lifts but the ones on these aren’t bad at all. I’ve always been the person to say if you do it then do it right but I might give this a go. Told myself I’m not going to dump thousands of dollars again on suspension and just go for a little lift with this truck. No ones asking here lol but here’s a pic of my Tacoma that I just sold to get the Trail Boss. 044ec2564afddb8da73c19fcf3514a66.jpg

Lmao I needed something bigger to tow and more room inside the cabin for the family. Trust me, that Tacoma was built for fun and I was sad to let it go. But for the size, looks, tech and price, I had to go GM and not get the Toyota Tundra.

Beautiful truck. Not sure if I could bring myself to spend that much money in suspension though!

Thanks! Yeah I didn’t think I would either but one mod led to another and there I was. Although it was nice, I don’t want to do it to this truck. I barely got 30% value of all the mods back when I sold it.

Setting cost and resale value aside.... since you're coming from a King setup, how would you feel about King/Icon/Fox coilovers on this vehicle (Silverado 1500)?

I ask because I really want a better onroad suspension feel and help level the truck at the same time. I previously had a '17 Raptor and the suspension was just absolutely incredible. I would love a similar feel albeit those had 35" BFGs on 17" rims and I'll likely be at 33-34" BFGs on 20" rims on the Silverado. Would you suspect a significant feel difference due to less sidewall or am I just overthinking this too much.

I'm really leaning towards the ICON 2.5 or FOX 2.5 coilovers when they're available for the 2020 model

If money and downtime wasn’t an issue than I would hands down go with Kings again. Avoid Icons if you’re looking for a good balance between on and off road. They have digressive valving which means they are stiffer at slower speeds then soften up. Fox and Kings are progressive which is somewhat of the opposite. They ride way better on road and to be honest I would say off-road too. I’ve mainly experienced all of these setups in Toyota Tacomas and Tundras and there was a significant difference in brands. Fox and Kings were pretty close when it came to the 2.5s with adjusters. I have a few friends that have Kings on their GM 1500s and they swear by it. You have to remember that when you see the off-road racing scene, who are you most likely to see racers run? Kings. I’ve never seen a built professional off-road vehicle with Icons. Obviously my opinion and others may think differently but it makes somewhat of sense. All shock companies have issues here and there but if you look up Icon shocks you’ll see way more than others (i.e. leaks, corrosion). Personally, I would only recommend Kings. And about the downtime part, I meant rebuilding them. You have to take them off and send them somewhere to get rebuilt every 50k miles and it can take on average 2 weeks. I really don’t have that time for my daily driver. Also when I was building the Tacoma, I didn’t have a little one yet but now my daughter is 3 and growing so needed a balance between a truck and family daily vehicle and the Trail Boss was a good in between. Sorry for the long response. Hope that helps. Oh and I think the KO2s will ride better than the stock Wranglers. The difference will be stiffer for BFGs only because it’ll be E rated tires vs C rated for the Wranglers but the weight of the truck might balance it out.

    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
