You can and I can and that is the point.  I don't have an issue with you. Actually I find some humor in it all. You notice who tags your post to me?  Now that's funny.

Truth is where you find it!

I would rather be hated for where I found truth than ignore it.

I hope History is not off the table......

An ancient book states this scientific fact. "He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing". This was written about 1473 B.C.E., and that is noteworthy given the prevailing views or world scientist and philosophers of that time. They thought the world was flat and rest on this:

The Great A'Tuin by alvaramorrigan.deviantart.com on @deviantART в 2020 ...

It wouldn't be until the 17th century C.E. 1615 to be exact that an Italian would challenge that notion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galileo_Galilei

In the 3rd century BC, Hellenistic astronomy established the roughly spherical shape of Earth as a physical fact and calculated the Earth’s circumference. [quote Our Planet Today]. (Amazingly the calculation was quite accurate.)

That same ancient book noted the earth 'circle' or Spherical shape around 732 B.C.E.

When I look to hang my hat on a fact I expect it to be true and when I find out it isn't I change the way I think. Novel idea I know but that means at times I MUST change. Anything else is willful ignorance and frankly, stupidity of the worst kind. I would rather be hated for where I found truth than ignore it. The Bible is a great reference work I chose not to ignore.

Inappropriate content for a truck site.

Thread has existed for 6 years in the off topic section and followed the same basic subject matter throughout. Weird time for people to get annoyed with it now.

I definitely don’t agree with everything posted but it’s mere presence doesn’t offend me. We’re all a little tougher than that, no? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Using religious reference as an engineering proof text is bull crap. Just get tired of the postings. Not just Grumpy.

Don't go down that road. A whole shitload of threads/posts aren't appropriate according to the rules. So let's just drop this.

If your bothered by certain material, ignore it, or block the poster.

Again, don't like it move on to the next post

Edit to add: "tired of postings" or certain posters. This goes for everyone.

There are people who have "tired out" other members with their posts/comments. I've gotten the comments to show it. This situation is going to happen on a forum though. You just have to accept it

Just get along! It's pretty easy

Or, pickup your toys and go home.

Geeez, didn't realize there were fragile people on here :)

Again, don't like it, ignore it and move on. It doesn't apply to you

👍

You can always take a few days from the site and refresh

2025 C8 ZR1

"I think the Batmobile just passed us" say's da wife. It is jet black with paint deep enough to swim in.

A few minutes later we pull into the Baxter street I-39 Shell station where we sit side by side with most drop dead gorgeous car I have ever seen. Mrs. is just giddy, "There it is, there is" she repeats like a sixteen year old at a Beatles concert.

Fella is filling up and I ask as I get out smiling, "You get that signal in the sky tonight"?

"What?" he smiles.

"Wife said it looks like the Batmobile", and he breaks out in a roar. "Kid you not, my last name is Wayne".

Pulls out his wallet and shows me. "Just rolled over 500 miles" he notes continuing "Just picked it up in Kentucky today and heading home, low serial number, first batch" adding "My fathers first name is John" with a sly giggle but he was serious about that too.

We are all gaga as he goes inside to do whatever he's doing and hits the remote start on his way out bringing that thousand hp plus flat plane crank beast to life. It sounds like an Indy Car. I must have jump a foot. He and his Mrs' wish us well and drive off. We stand there a minute and watch him shorten the on ramp toward Wisconsin. 1,000 plus horsepower will do that.

All the sudden I hear...."I was so excited I didn't get any pictures", horror in her face like she just missed a photo Op with Big Foot.

"Then it never happened, did it, and this was just a dream".

Truth doesn't need proof to be but for some it does to be believed. I don't need to prove it. I just wanted to enjoy it and kiddo's, we did.

Good value for the money at around 70K to start its said. It’s looks like it wants to be something else. The design, the sound and where the engine is. Doesn’t scream I’m an American car. I know I’m old and out of touch. You think GM could figure out a way to make a profit with the Camaro. Instead of putting their tail between their legs and stop making them. What happened to my favorite brand?

I go to Krogers a couple times a week. It’s funny if you pay attention you see the same people. Recently I noticed a new vette in the parking lot. Finally I see an older guy struggling to exit the car. He walks around it gets his footing and walks towards the store. The first thing that comes to mind is his family has pissed him off. He spending their inheritance.

Hopefully his kids were excited that their dad was enjoying his money!  If I sensed that any of my kids were monitoring their potential inheritance, for any other reason than to make sure I'm spending my money, I'd be rewriting my will!  My father bought a new Silverado a few months before he passed away.  My siblings and I were absolutely thrilled that he tossed aside the practical and brought something that made him very happy.

Not having a stick option is the only thing that bugs me about the C8. I know it would be slower, blah blah blah…but it just doesn’t seem right for a Corvette.
