Just replaced my OEM 275/60/20 Goodyear Trailrunner ATs on my 2019 RST Z71. Got 6 years out of these things and 40K miles of good performance. With the snow storm hitting in DFW, I figured it was time to replace them... esp. since every time the roads were wet, I had to run in 4A. 😂

Put on some Nitto Terra Grappler G3s, same OEM size - 275/60/20. I'll post some pics soon. 3-peak rated and man they ride just as quiet as the Trailrunners did. But serious bit on the snowy/icy roads around DFW the past few days!

Considered doing 285s, but I didn't want to pay about $80 more per tire just for an extra 10mm of height.

285 is the WIDTH, not the height. 60 is the percent of the width that the sidewall height is. 20 is the rim diameter.

Yes, I understand tire sizes. I meant going up to 285/65/20s.

You mentioned NOTHING about going from a 60 to a 65, only 275 to 285.

In case anyone else is wondering if 285/65/20’s would fit a stock truck with no lift. They do.

Nice! What price per tire did you have to pay for those?

When I looked at 285 vs 275 the price was about $80 more per tire for the 285 set up. 🫠

I wanted those OEM wheels, so I found a lightly used set with those tires for $2k CAD but tires are definately pricey.

Also have noticed my fuel economy has gone down quite a bit from ~9L/100km to ~11L/100Km. But with these tires my speedo is also off which will also throw off the fuel economy calculations.

To clarify. As I see the z71 badge, was your truck lifted prior meaning this is 6" total lift or 4" from a non lifted?

I ask because you ran the ready lift 2" previously I believe and liked the look of that

Hey Russ!

My truck is a Trail Boss so it comes with a 2' lift from the factory. So when I added the 4' BDS kit, which is for Trail Boss and AT4 only, it raised it 4' on top of the 2' factory lift. So compared to a non Trailboss, its a 6' lift.

Correct I did have the ready lift 2' sst kit before to fit 35's. I went to the BDS kit so I could add 37's.
