I have a 2008 silverado crew cab LTZ that I am having an issue with the door module.  I have an alarm on the dash stating the drivers side is open when it is closed.  When this happens, none of the switches will work.  In order for the switches to work after that, the key must in the acc position or the truck is running and the door open.  Which control module do I need to replace?  Thanks in advance.

Why are you skipping the diagnosis step?  You have too much money in your wallet?  Personally I would check the pillar switch first.  Pillar switches are lot more involved than they were in the old days.  They used to be nothing more than a ground wire stuck on one side of the switch, and the ground point on the other side of the switch, with the door closed it would press the door side of the switch inwards, breaking the ground.  Open the door, and the spring inside the switch would push the door side of the switch to the ground position, turning on the dome light.  Check the free stuff first, and don't just jump to the end.  It will very expensive going down the roadway you want to take.
