I'm not locked down. I don't tremble in fear. I can think past myself.

Ever ask yourself why? Why would over 200 country's around the world "lock down"?

Because this "Personal Responsibility"  you clamor for....few are willing to take. If this were not mandated people that were sick would continue to work. Employers would continue to intimidate and fire those that did the right thing and stayed home. Nursing homes? Rehab homes? I could make this paragraph pages in length but those few should get done.

The mask isn't to protect yourself, it's to protect others from you. Contain your spray. You don't understand the simplest parts of this thing so how will you behave? Pretty much like you are.

You have no RIGHTS under the Constitution to wave a gun at my head, yell FIRE in a theater nor spray others with sickness.

This state is starting phase III and already people are ignoring the instructions.

Brazenly so.

You can't get a person to take a step back in line. Push past you, physical hands on you while they are going the wrong way in an isle well marked and cursing you for being in their way, inhibiting their freedom. Coughing all over the products.  Half the people leaving a public restroom still wont wash their hands.

I'm not afraid MISTER.

I'm mad at people doing stupid things my father beat out of me before I was five.

Since things are opening up here, my wife and I decided to go to Lowe's to get some stuff for our garden and help the local economy. Some guy with no mask ended up standing right behind me - way closer then he should have been even if we weren't supposed to be physical distancing - while we were trying to safely navigate a crowded aisle. When I politely asked him to take a step back, his response was very rude. I didn't say anything in reply but my wife and I decided to put any further non essential trips on hold for a little while longer.

Being nice on your part didn't work and being rude may not have worked either.  What I would have done differently would be to not say anything and step up vs asking him to step back.  Continue to go out because that's what will be needed along with a vaccine.  Next time give him that I'm going to rip your head off look if you step closer after I step away, usually work for me.  But then again, it doesn't hurt to be a 230lb weight lifter.

Thanks for the advice but if I'd stepped forward, I would have run over my wife with the cart. We were in a very busy area of the store where a number of aisles intersected in a small space and it was hard to maneuver while keeping our distance.

Also, I'm only about 100 lbs smaller than you. ?

Lowe’s doesn’t need your help...surely there’s some mom-n-pop garden shops local to you that have been real beat up over this. ?

Turned out none of the stores around of any size had what we were looking for so I guess our garden will do without until next year. And just because Lowe's as a corporation doesn't need our help doesn't mean our local store couldn't close due to a lack of business and leave all the people from our community who work there out of a job. They closed the Rona by us late last year before this whole mess started.

What really scares me about the whole situation is, that the BC government is now thinking about tracking people down via debit and credit card trail.

It's not the fact itself. I understand the reason.

But I don't know who is collecting the data and what happens to the data.

That's an interesting question.  I'd think that would be outsourced to a private company which would certainly worry me about the security of my information.

I feel like the government would be less likely to sell my information or do something else sketchy with it but a private company would be less likely to go "oops, we had a breach in our weak security system a couple years ago and let all your data get stolen and did our best to hide it from the public and the media until now".

Wisconsin informally opened about 2 weeks ago when the state Supreme Court struck down the order on a 4-3 decision. Make note of this, it’s important later.

After the ruling, the governor referred to us as the “Wild West” and predicted a huge surge in cases with being open with his order no longer in place. 2 weeks later, no increase whatsoever. Active cases and positive test % are down, in fact. Hospitalizations are flat. Haven’t gone under 300, or over 400 in months.

Heard this one before? We held our primary election back in April 7th. Republicans were said to be killing people by holding the election. National media sensation. They even pulled James Carville out of the freezer to shame us.

Well, of 400,000+, nobody who voted in person died. They asked everyone they tested for the following month if they voted, and found only 54 cases between voters and poll workers. Just a funny little blurb here...statistically, you were actually less likely to catch the virus if you voted than you didn’t.

Well, media and public officials are back at it again, predicting a massive increase in cases due to people enjoying their freedom over the weekend. If this thread still exists in two weeks, I’ll quote this post and update the figures...think you know where this is going.

Oh, and the State Supreme Court case I just spoke about? One of the (leftist) justices, Rebecca Dallet, who wrote an impassioned dissent to keep us locked down until after Memorial Day weekend “for our safety”...well, she was tagged in a Facebook photo, on a boat, with another family, not social distancing over the weekend. This would have been a clear violation of the order she just vouched for!!!

Just another clear example of hypocrisy, and how our rulers treat this virus “threat” when nobody is watching.

Also, if you look close at the person who tagged her’s profile pic, it says “stay home, save lives”....you can’t make this stuff up!!!! ????

These people do not believe in reality.  They do not believe they are hypocrites.  They do believe in anything that will advance their utopian dreams even if they contradict themselves from one day to the next.

Gov Murphy announced that in person graduations will be allowed starting on July 6th, so long as social distancing guidelines are followed.  This was a nice surprise.  I've been telling my colleagues that this should be very possible with our class size and the space we have, and as it turns out it will happen.  Very happy for my Seniors that they'll get the ceremony they deserve.

I will take our "Boy" in any incompetency race any day of the week.

He missed the rule of thumb on this one, "If it sounds stupid inside of your head, don't say it out loud". ?

At a recent press conference, Governor Jay Inslee discussed getting restaurants opened during Phase 2 of the reopening process, even as he admitted he’d unlikely take his own family to a restaurant.

    • You should be evaluating enough comparable trucks to know if one sounds different than the others - if you can't tell something is amiss by ear, it's probably fine.   Further evaluate enough trucks so that you can determine what 'normal' looks, sounds and feels like. Even if this is the first truck you're looking at and want to buy, go look at several more (regardless of whether you intend to buy them).   Insist on taking the vehicle to be evaluated, spend some time looking ALL OVER IT, look for overspray where it shouldn't be, paint damaged on bolt heads that are not normally removed. Check for rust, missing fasteners, non-factory style fasteners, suspiciously new parts especially on non-wear items. Check for leaks, check fluid conditions and level (dirty isn't the worst thing in the world but exceptionally low is).   Ignore tire shine and plastic dressing that makes an engine 'shiny'.    Beware of heavily fragranced interiors to mask odd odors that could hide potential mold from a leaky rear window.   Carfax is barely worth the paper it printed on. DO NOT trust it, a vehicle can be wrecked, fixed by a bunch of drunk hillbillies in their cousin's backyard and still have a clean Carfax. I can meticulously maintain my vehicle at home with top quality parts, materials and methods, the Carfax won't show a thing.   Taking it to a shop to have a teenager working afterschool (an inexperienced mechanic) evaluate it is a waste of time.   Lastly, a good, well taken care of truck will present itself as such, it would be generally comparable to a new truck. An uncared-for truck will show it, dents, scratches, seat stains, paint swirls, tears, scuffs, marks, rattles, vibrations, clunks, miss matched tires, etc...
    • If you suspect an engine swap or similar modification to the front accessory drive...   Maybe try spending some time plugging in different make/models/years that utilized the same engine (prime donor vehicles or swap candidates), vans, full-size cars (Impala, Roadmaster), 4x4 trucks to get a collection of pump and brackets that are similar along with their associated part numbers; take that collection of part numbers to the parts store to compare.   Another Okie.
    • There are knowns and unknowns.   Knowns:   - LT, RST and LTZ names/trims are gone.  The new "Silverado" trim level replaces all 3 of those.  You should be able to configure the Silverado trim to match the equipment levels of those three trims.    Unknowns:    - Custom.  No mention of what engines it will have access to.  Dual exhaust being standard does seem to confirm a V8 option for the Custom trim though.  My "guess" is that Custom will have access to the Turbomax and the 5.7.  I could be wrong though.  The current Custom trim went 2.7 Turbomax only the last 4-5 years, and only had a single side exit exhaust.     - 40-20-40.  I would imagine that is NOT going away.  They only focused on showing the new interior on the top trims, Trail Boss, ZR2 and High Country, hence the images shown are just bucket trucks up front.         The info should start coming fairly quickly over the next weeks and months.  Production is supposed to start up later this year, so when the order guide launches, you'll be able to see the configurations of engines, cabs, seating, etc.
    • I don’t do offloading other than a dirt road literally for me it’s more about the look which I really appreciate a nice looking truck and I like sitting a higher and not just because I’m 5 foot seven lol..  I’m also not compensating for anything lol..  but I truly think it’s safer on the road the higher you sit you have better visibility generally speaking especially a few of your Sideview mirrors adjusted correctly. They do make a programmer rough country does they’re $1000 for these new 2500s but when I do a gear swap that would be a moot point. A lot of the shops that I go to in my area they’re all saying the same thing that Yukon Detroit axle Eaton Spicer Richmond they don’t have gear shot for these trucks which surprises me because hasn’t this body style been out since 2020? I’m hoping soon they have something because yeah I’ll have to spend the 3K to get both axles done. Thank you for all of your response responses. I apologize if there’s any grammatical error errors as I’m doing speech to text on my iPhone without proofreading
