Hello all,

I have a base 2019 Sierra 5.3 4x4 and bought the front / rear shocks and rear blocks of a AT4 owner who upgraded his suspension

Does anyone know if it's necessary to replace the CV axle when installing the 2" lift?

Thanks

.

It is not necessary to change out the CV's, and 99% of people lifting their base 4x4's or Z71's by 2" don't.  If you go above 3" and actually off road your truck, I would start looking into getting the CV's.  But again, for a 2" lift it is absolutely not necessary, there is nothing to gain.

Funny, i have a AT4 and just installed bilstein shocks front and rear and removed the life kit. I installed base sierra cv axles in the front. The length is the same but the housing part that goes into the diff is slightly smaller.
