Just say no to the Tb spacer and shorty's like the above posters have stated. They are a total waste of money. get long tubes, a custom tune, and maybe a cai. That will put your truck into the mid to high 13's.

All these claims of 6.2s smoking the competition but not 1 video.In 09 the only stats I can find is a test from some rag , and the 09 cc silverado beat the tundra by a tenth in the quarter.

 

No testing or videos can be found of the NHT 2010+trucks running the competition.Cant even find any good you tubes of 6.2s running hemis and tundras or ecoboosts,found one hemi video pulling a 3.42 truck thats it.The hemi owner claim stock

I cant imagine how.

I agree on having lack of proof to back the claims of victory as it is hard to know when to keep a person handy in order to video or get pictures of these events. I look often on u-tube for some visual proof but yes not much is out there. I also notice there are not that many 6.2's out there either, I myself have plans to go to the track here in Houston so to be able to get actual proof and ASAP, I tried to record/video myself taking off on a 0-69 run and it was not easy holding the camera and at the same time producing a good safe run. So for now I have to live with the self gratification of knowing the victory possibilities my truck has and build from there.

Also thanks for the information on headers and TB mod's. This is one of the main reasons I have not added these yet, I wanted to get more feed back as ya'll have provided. I will wait until I have the $$$$.. and add Long tube ceramic header's and go from there.

And what has to be done to the 6.2L before getting it?

Corvette servo, CAI, etc?

There are multiple options (in person tune, rent the cords to record data, buy an autocal

It will firm up your shifts making almost zero slippage, if you want better than that you will need a stage 2 shift kit , that way you can chip through the gears and neck snapping shifts.

Don't know if you can put that into the newer trucks with the 6spd tranny.

what are top speeds that have been reached with or with out mods on your Chevy's 6.2 or ?. Mine recorded 139mph flat deserted 4 lane rd slight wind and before I let off. This was recorded on my navigation device's "highest speed" section as speedo only goes 120 mph. I know speeding is not legal but I was just overly curious that morning and it was a empty road.

I have done 125 in mine, it had plenty left. Didn't want to push the tires any more past there max.

Thanks for the info. This sounds like something my Son might like for his '07 'Hoe 4L60E. The 6L80E in my truck feels pretty good so far, but I haven't really gotten on it yet, as it has only clocked 1300 miles.

Def. worth doing in a 4L60e trans but if you want firmer shifts in the 6L80e, Blackbear is your friend. He set mine up perfect.
