Vic Bennetts in Carleton Place, and I've taken it to Jim Tubmans on Bank St twice.

Alright. Yeah I've been dealing with Myers in kanata since I bought mine. I had a spring issue in the seat. They tried to fix it but they just made it worse. Ended up taking a seat out of another brand new truck on the lot. Took a lot of fighting tho. I find all the Ottawa dealers are useless

Why do all these dealers have to be aholes. Like do they want customers. Or how about GM building a better truck. Geez brutal. I would go to another dealer and don't tell them the seats issue. Just say seats messed up, replace it.

They'll just check the history on the system and see that another dealer fixed them already. I found the after sales service great. It's the garage side that's terrible.

just a quick little update;

I've been in touch with gm customer care. They have called me a few time regarding the issue and I've sent photos to better explain the situation to them. They have acknowledged that it is an issue, and have hinted towards full seat replacement. I think I'm actually getting somewhere with this!

Rob1231 : Nice truck by the way, I have almost the same except Carbon Black Metallic and the 6.2L. And I also have a sunroof in my extended cab and love it!

Maybe I'm just a dummy or something. I thought that 2009 was the last year for a GM "factory" sunroof in the extended cab trucks???

2012 was the last year they put them on the extended cabs.

say you have a brother wanting to buy a car or truck. get some information, make them feel all happy and giddy bc they might beable to make another sale.. then say oh by the way.. i have this issue with my truck..... they will all of a sudden bend over backwards and try to resolve the issue with you to make u feel good because its a potential future sale from your so called "brother"

i find this works kinda sometimes.. when i was looking at denalis, i found one and only had 50k on it, and the front bumper was starting to rust already. I said that would need to be fixed otherwise im not interested.. they basically said u buy it like u see it..(great service eh) then my dad said oh do u guys have any of those ..blank.. cars here, my daughter is looking for one..we got off topic for a little then came back to the truck and he said ill be right back and ill see what i can do about the rust. came back saying oh yea we can have that fixed no problem...

one second they cant, and want me to buy it as it sits, next second after knowing my sister might want a car (when she doesn't) now they can jump through hoops to fix it and please me! I never ended up getting that truck.. got a different one!

but the idea is worth a shot?

Correct............2013 only have them on the CC models on lots around here.

See, back when I was searching for my new 2009 GMC Sierra SLE C1500 Crewcab, the dealer told me it was the last year for a crewcab sunroof w/o upgrading to a SLT or Denali.

I ran into this same problem when I started looking for my new 2012 GMC Sierra SLE crewcab back in July. Even the GMC.com website wouldn't let me "build" a new SLE crewcab with a sunroof w/o selecting the SLT or Denali trim levels. CRAZY!!

I work at this same GMC dealership too, so I don't think it was any lazy sales pitch or tactic.

Your truck does not have leathers seats. It has leather seating surfaces. Real leather seats don't do that.

That's a given. GM hasn't had full leather in the trucks in ages.

wow, thanks for the input. Really appreciate it and is very helpful in this situation. Is that a picture of you in your DP?

Now back to what I was originally asking why would my "leather seating surfaces" stretch like this with only 40,000km on them. I could really care less what you decide to call them, the fact is that they are already worn out.

But thanks. Big help.

ANYWAYS, a little update.

I've had a few calls with GM over the past couple of days. I don't expect to have this problem resolved until the new year, but that's ok. I will update when I hear more.

The sieat was replaced on January 15th. Looks much better than it did before!

GM took care of everything for me, one call to the 1-800 number and they did the rest of the work. I didn't have to argue with the dealer at all.

Happy.
