It's going to be all over the place. Diameter, width, tread, etc.. Someone with a 35 will take a much bigger hit than someone with 33s. The Raptor comes with 35s and gets 13 mpg. It's 13 mpg because of the tires not the engine. Put 31.5 tires on it and change the gearing and it'll probably do very well on mpg. I have 33x12.50x18 tires and my average over the entire life of 10,000 miles is right about 16 when you factor in the speedo error. That's all city, which includes the L.A. freeway system, a.k.a. "Tijuana Gran Prix". I'm in the 2-3 mpg loss. I'm guessing 35s are gonna be around 3-5 mpg loss or more.

OK Cool. I plan on going with a 33x10.8x18 or a 33x11.6x18 so mine shouldn't be as drastic of a drop in fuel mileage. Correct?

I'm guessing you'll loose 2-3, depending on how you drive and the specific tire and pressures you run.

I finally got my tires in from tire rack and my motofab 2" level blocks in that I picked up for 39.99 on amazon. got the blocks installed alone in a little under 2 hours last Wednesday night, and got the 275/70/18 general grabber at2's mounted and the truck aligned up Friday morning. Really happy with how everything turned out. Didn't think it would look lifted but its very notable. Much more than I expected. I like the firmer ride and it actually feels like a solid truck to me now. I also removed the front air dam and coated the wheels with plasti as protection for the winter.

got any side shots of the truck after the plasti dip. i was thinking about doing that to my rims as well but wasnt sure how it would look. i like it on your truck though man. it came out nice!

It looks great if you do it right and take your time. many many light coats with time to dry in between. The wheels on my daily driver focus ST have been done for almost 2 years and 30k miles. every six months or so I do another two coats as needed and always remove wheels and use playing cards or index cards in the bead so that there is no overspray. I also do the barrel of the wheel so everything looks uniform and "normal". every week or two, I've found that interior cleaning spray or even tire gel.. anything oil based, works great to being back the deep black color and really keeps the finish looking nice. Many people cant believe that my wheels are plasti-dipped because the finish is so smooth and even.

I misread your post but the plasti info is there for anyone who needs it ha. I only have one other picture of my truck and its in my garage at an angle. Ill take a few side shots soon.

only thing about putting tire shine gels on them is sometimes the dip can get weakened by shining gels, or at least I noticed it on mine. I was wiping gel onto my tires once and the dip had been thined out around the outter most part of the rim and it ended up coming off when I wiped over it a bit! Just a heads up. However I have noticed that Armor All Outlast tire shine Glaze works much better. Doesn't mess with dip and it gives a great shine overall for the dip and tires. Also its not slick at all like tire shines are. Just saying!

 

There is a bit of running shown in this picture but I warmed the can by sitting it in some very warm water before spraying. I did it so that I could get a better coat since it was cold outside. It ended up spraying out 2-3 times faster due to the pressure in the warm can! But still came out great.

Yours look great. I probably have 10 to 15 coats on my cars wheels and I don't use much to keep them looking nice so I've never noticed any weakening but thanks for the heads up. I also use the armor all tire gel but found the turtle ice interior spray works great. I also use it on my tires to keep them black but I don't use tire shine on the tires themself. I rub a little into the rubber to keep the tires moistened and black, but then wipe down to eliminate shine. Just my personal preference. Plasti has such a bed rep because so many people don't take the time to do a good job. Nice to see another set of great looking wheels.

Is everyone happy with their RC leveling kit or would u buy something else?

im removing my RC 2" leveling kit and replacing it with rancho quicklift loaded. It hops all over the place when pulling my trailer. Installing quicklift in 2 days and will be posting review on my other thread

I thought there weren't any quicklift loaded for the 2014s? I know the quicklift 7000mt is for the 2014 but according to their site they don't make a quicklift loaded for the 2014. Though their description is vague on the 7000mt. I guess it gives you 2" of lift in the front?

 

I'm waiting on Bilsteins before i make a move but keep us updated.

yes they have been available for a while. Gorancho.com. I have 2014 Silverado ltz Max trailering 4x4. I'm getting quicklift loaded in front and rs9000xl in rear

Well hell when using their search engine i was putting 2014 gmc and all that came up was the 7000MT, if the quicklift loaded fits the 2014 chevy LTZ 4WD it should very well fit the 2014 GMC SLT 4WD should it not?

Well guys here she is leveled and new skins. I haven't discovered anything rubbing and the ride is incredible over those crappy Goodyears that come from the factory. Leveling Kit was a $40 Ebay 2" level kit, Aluminum spacer. Also New Nitto Terra Grapplers, yes they are wide 305/60/18. The look is awesome compared to factory. Here are the images.

Do you think there would be issues turning with the factor molded mud flaps with this set up? I am thinking on doing the same thing to my truck.looks very good

Love it. Whenever I see a silver truck with black wheels it makes me wish I got silver.

 

How are those general at's in snow? I like the price of those and I'd go with the same size you bought.

    • Hello hello looking forward to expanding my knowledge of the 2026 2500 HD that I just bought.   Truck has 3500 miles on it four-wheel-drive crew cab and I’m about to put a 6 1/2 inch BDS lift on it 18 x 10 -25 offset with 37’s   Already have the wheels and tires just waiting on the lift install in about three weeks   Question what surprises am I not gonna be happy with?  I’m not new to lifted trucks so I know that acceleration towing gas mileage all that is affected..   Question is those of you that have this truck this powertrain with a 10 speed Allison and have done the mods that I’m doing,,, how bad is it? Is that Allison constantly gonna be hunting for the right gear to go into? And what about towing, acceleration, fuel consumption as mentioned?    Lastly how come I can’t find any ring pinion gear set up for these axles and when could I expect to see them?   I apologize if there’s any typos I’m doing speech to text on my iPhone.    
    • I've got a 2013 2500 6.0L Flexfuel. Drove the truck earlier today with no issues. Went to run an errand tonight and noticed key fob wouldn't work. Figured battery was dead, so replaced fob batter. Still wasn't working. Grabbed my other set of keys with the other fob and that one wasn't working either. So I manually unlock truck and insert key. Interior lights come on, dashboard lights up, turn key and truck starts. Turn truck off, like a moron, and try starting again. This time no crank, no click, no nothing. Lights still come on and dash lights up, but now I'm getting a service 4wheel drive, service tire monitor, etc. Check voltage on battery and Im showing 12.2v. Throw my battery charger on it and give it 15 mins and try starting again. But still no crank no start. Decide maybe its a bad battery, run to autozone grab a new one and put it in. Same issue. Disconnect battery and let it sit for 15 mins. Try again and still nothing. I had managed to roll the windows down earlier as its a humid night, but now I can't get them to roll up. Power locks are also not working now. Then randomly I try the key again, and it fires right up. Immediately I roll up the windows as we have nothing but rain forecast this week. I shut it back off wait 30 seconds and start up again. Worked a 2nd time. So turn it off, start putting things back together. Try one more time, and back to no crank no start. And now the car alarm starts going off. Had to disconnect battery and leave it that way for the night as I don't think my neighbors would appreciate my alarm going off again tonight. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

    • Hi there.  Long time lurker, first post.    i have read the previous posts regarding the water ingress problem with this emblem.  I bought my 1500 SLT the  summer of 2025 new and after reading the MANY problems with these emblems failing I decided to install one anyways.  As per a YouTube video, I sealed ( or tried to) this sign with silicone sealant around the outer perimeter joint and the holes that were already somewhat sealed on the rear plate of the emblem.  And installed the connector assembly using dielectric grease on the connectors. The installation looked great and worked well for about 4 months……then FAILURE.  Grrrrrr…… I live in the great white north and wash my truck weekly in an automatic car wash  to keep the salt off.  Let me tell you that removing the old, failed emblem is a whole different animal than removing the OEM individual letters without removing the grill assembly. Mainly because the illuminated logo is built differently than the original letters which  you can remove the red surface lettering with a knife or some kind of blade which gives access to the tabs which hold the logo onto the grill. So I had to essentially destroyed the old emblem to remove it. Doing so killed my chance of doing somekind of autopsy on the failed , old logo.  But there was plenty of water inside when I ripped it apart.  Prior to installing the new assembly I tried it with the old harness and it works fine.   Does anyone have any insight as to where the water is getting into this emblem? I intend to seal the new logo with slow curing epoxy this time around using a syringe.  I think this newer emblem may be an updated unit which I hope GM got the vendor to fix. It has an October 2025 date on it.    If this one  fails,  I am just going to revert back to the non-illuminated letters….AFTER PULLING THE GRILL.    Any thoughts on sealing with epoxy would be appreciated.
