2014+ Leveling Kits

My Bilstein 5100's arrived yesterday afternoon! It only took 2 days to get them from the time I ordered them!

Didn't expect to get them this fast, now I've gotta go find a shop and try to get tires put on here in the next week or two.

Thanks. I really just wanted it to be more competent off road since I use my truck in the forest a lot and a lot of the forest roads are for high clearance vehicles. Now I'll only scrape on some stuff instead of all of it.

oh man trust me those tires are amazing for that!!! GF loves them on her silverado!

What is the advantage of getting these Bilstein 5100s over a leveling kit? can they be used with one as well? I was thinking of a BL for another inch but my truck has 50K on the stock ranchos and it feels a tad stiff.

or point me to a thread on them pls

There's lots of threads on them if you just hit type 5100 in the search bar. I've just read that they offer a good ride and are better quality than factory rancho's so that's why I went with them.

hey thanks i learned a bit.

sux i wanted to lift my truck a bit more like use it on top of my current level but that is NOT advised, maybe a 1.5" BL is what I would have to add.....

I put the 2.5" Readylift level on my '15 AllTerrain with a 3" block in the back. I'm running 275/65-20 BFG KO2's with no rubbing issues. Oh, they r on the stock 20x9 all terrain rims.

How much rake do you have and what's the ride like ?

what can i do to get a bit more lift...... it has a 2" level and I am running 305/55/20s I just feel like it needs more lift.

Can i run a 4" lift and have it not look like it has really small tires??

Yes sir! From below sea level in Death Valley to 11,000' in the Sierra my BFG's have never failed me.

The bilsteins's add preload to your coil instead of just pushing everything down to accomplish the lift. They ride is better than the ranchos imo and if you want to go higher you could add a small top plate, 0.25" or so. The billy's only give about 1.8" of lift.

Lots of folks are running 33x12 with 4" lift; mainly because that's all that will fit. You have to go 5" or better to run 35s.

1.5" Body lift will get you to 4".

Most true lifts are going to push your front track wider and require running spacer on the rear wheels. Level + Body Lift can get you to 4" without a lot of cost and major modification to your existing suspension.

The rake is a bit higher in the back, just perfect actually. The ride only stiffened up a bit when I installed the new ko2's.

Never ran a body lift before. Wont it have ugly gaps?

I don't have a BL on this truck, but I've done 3" BLs before and yes, 3" leaves quite a gap and shows a lot of the frame.

The 1.5" I have seen on here don't look like they have a BL on them....even from the rear.

My side bars attach to the body mount bolts instead of the cab, so if I do a BL, I have to get new steps or my cab will be high and side bars low.

Bottom is the before and top is the after. I did not put any blocks in the rear, left it stock for now. So just the 2.25" Ready Lift Leveling Kit up front. 66-3085

What was your height measurement before the level install? I was looking at the same kit from ReadyLift and they have a note on there that says it won't work for Z71 models because they only have about 1" difference between the front and rear? I haven't measured mine yet because I just found that on their website and I'm currently at work.
