I don't know why either but the right side of my truck is higher too. Before my level, the right side was 1/2" higher. After the level and alignment, it's slight more than 1/4" higher than the left side. Can't notice it at all but it's just kinda funny.

I do like the look. But all my numbers from above are averaged from the difference from the left vs. right side of my truck. What I don't understand is how my right rear can sit so much higher then the left rear. When putting the tape measure from the wheel well straight down through the center of the hub my rear is nearly 3/4 of an inch different. Right being higher. Before the lift was put in it was only roughly 1/2 inch difference. I am taking my truck to the dealership later this week for some frame coating that has peeled off. So I am going to pick their ears about this dilemma.

Here is a picture of the before after and left/right after. Let me know if you think the left/right is out of what my tolerance should be.

It's called the Chevy Lean....very common and I doubt many (if any) trucks are perfect height on both the left and right side. Some say it's due to the fuel tank on the driver's side. I would say anything under 1" difference, just drive it and enjoy it.

Whats the biggest tire anyone has fit on an 18" wheel with the 2" RC level?

2014+ seem to have some variation in tire fitment, but a 285/65r18 is your best bet for a beefy tire without minimal chance of rub. 32.5 x 11.25

275/70r18 is a 33" tall tire, but extremely narrow. No rub on most trucks.

295/70r18 is 34.25" x 11.25" and will rub a lot on the liner and sway bar.

295/65r18 Duratrac or ProComp don't rub on most 2.5" leveled trucks.

Thanks guys.

I picked it up today from getting the alignment done. Not sure if that did anything but when I looked at the truck. I thought to myself. That looks awesome. When I brought the truck back to work I received a bunch of compliments from the guys there too. So those couple things really calmed my nerves on it. I'm gonna let it ride and enjoy it cause for some reason it isn't as obvious to me anymore.

2015 Silverado LT 2wd with 2.5" rough country level kit installed. Tires are Cooper Discover SST PRO 295/55/r20 Mud Terrains. Wheels are the Raceline Rampage 20x9 with 0 offset. Trimmed a few inches of the rear fender felt. No rubbing so far. Debating the purchase of a Rough Country 1.25" body lift.

Your truck looks great!! Thinking about running the new stt too. How do they ride and what's the noise difference in the cab? Really like the new tread design. Looks perfect on your truck.

Looks great cajunjosh!! Did you put in the rear blocks from the rough country 2.5" kit or did you just do the front?

Thank you. I did swap out the factory blocks for the 2" blocks from Rough Country.

Thanks, The only tire I can compare them to ride quality wise was the Nitto Terra Grappler A/Ts I had before. IMO they are a very smooth riding M/T. You feel them when driving under 10 miles per hour but after that I don't notice any difference between this M/T and my old A/Ts.

When it comes to noise I have been very pleased. They have the classic M/T drone but it's very quiet in these trucks. With the radio on, even at a low volume, the tire noise fades away.

Those Generals look much beefier than KO2s in that same size. Looks like you have some ballooning around the rim to make them look wider. How do you like the front and rear look of them?

love it and 100% the most quiet and comfortable ride and i have owned BF's in the past

Here's a shot of my 2016 GMC Sierra Z71 SLT. I had the Ready Lift 66-3085 2.25" suspension lift installed. This pic is of the before the shell and after the shell installation. The leveling kit leaves the truck with a slight rake that is only really noticeable because of the step assists rails on the side. Measured the front and then the back (of rails) and there is about a 3/4" rise. I am good with rake and thinks it looks much better then stock.

Cajunjosh, would you mind getting your fender measurements with your setup? Thanks!

The front are just a smidge under 39.5" and the back are right at 40". If you need any other measurements just let me know.

You don't see a whole lot of guys running a level kit and bigger tires with 22's....but you have a few options. Your rims look like they have a highly positive offset, so that will help. A 285/50/22 or 305/45/22 should fit without any trouble. A traditional 33/12.50/22 might work too.

I really like your setup! I think I may go with this on my '14. You have a 2" level right? What brand did you go with? How much did you feel the 2" effected the ride? Thanks

I have not had any issues whatsoever with my tires.
I got the BFG AT KO2 in 275/70/18 and I absolutely love them. They're great in the snow and mud and everything in between, including the highway.

I went with Motofab 2" block under strut--nothing more; still on stock Z71 Rancho shocks.

Rides just like it did before lift--rigid enough that I enjoy it. :)

Looks great! So you just did the 2" in the front, no blocks in the rear? I've got the same truck and love the way yours looks. So the ride is a little stiffer, not bad though?

    • More is cylinder deactivation. Kia-Hyundai Ive had 4. The warranty is the same 10 years 100K miles. My grandson drives the first one 05 Elantra GT. My wife drives the second one 2011 Genesis. The Genesis still performs as new and looks great. The Elantra looks rough. He’s not kind to it. The third was a Genesis coup. The fourth was a Santa Fe. Those were my daily drivers. I don’t keep them long. Kia is the same as Hyundai with the same warranty. I looked at the K-4 today. Too small, otherwise pretty good buy. Most of Hyundai and Kia’s have a performance upgrade.
    • Thanks for the point of reference
    • Great question. Answer....depends. One the volume of the crankcase, the driver that will actually be using the vehicle and the amount it uses plus the distance expected for that next trip. Couple of for instances:   Wife is going to drive Dizzy to Moline and back plus a bit around town so say 500 miles on the day. I know from years with that SUV that around town and local rural it uses about a quart in 1250 miles. But on the Interstate and her at the wheel without her anchor nagging her she'll push it and it will drop a quart in about 800 miles. Hence, around town I wait to somewhere between a quarter down to a quart down. On her trip I'd top it if it was down a few ounces and hope for the best.    Have I overfilled one? You mean by adding before it needs a full quart I assume. No, not once after finding the true fill mark.  I know the dipsticks of everything I drive and add what it needs. I learn this by doing the first oil change a quart low. Run the motor for a few minutes. Let it sit over night. Check and mark. Then add half a cup at a time making note of the place on the stick. I add through the dipstick tube with a barbeque basting bottle. Give it a few minutes to drain down and check again.    A vehicle like Dizzy that uses this much oil will take a few quarts between 3K changes. I keep one in the vehicle with the bottle and a bag. (Mindful of it's fullness) Not a big deal and never makes a mess of it. There is no such thing as "multiple quarts' in my shop for any specific oil. There will be a maximum however of the number of different oils used over the fleet.     Dizzy holds a nominal 5 quarts. So the first fill was indeed over as it actually took 4.75. My vehicles are fit with Valvomax valves so I can meter an ounce on the drain if need be. Found her mark first crack at it. Never to be repeated.    Pepper uses none between changes so I don't keep a quart in that one. Straight up 6 quarts put her dead on the full line. Check it ever fuel stop. They will surprise you when they start using.    Raven holds 3 liters or 5.44 ounces over three quarts. I add 3 quarts and 6 ounces. That gives me 5 oil changes on my orphan quart.    Lawnmower holds about 3/5 of a quart. I don't over fill it to prevent an orphan. So yea, depends.
    • 185k on original 6.2L engine and 10 speed. 6" lift with 35" tires. Changed oil (Mobil 1 synthetic) when truck told me to. Original tranny with original fluid and no service or flush done. All highway miles. A/C compressor replaced at 155k. Oil cooler line replaced at 180k. Still daily driver. Love this truck.   This is my 3rd 6.2L vehicle (2008 Yukon Denali / 2018 Cadillac Escalade) with over 150k miles and no issues. Denali had broken motor mount at 100k.
