Bryan Catrina Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 ok so have done a little checking and I have steel upper and lower control arms on my 2wd truck..per every lift company i have looked at, no one offers a level or lift kit for 2016 GMC sierra SLT.....Sucks
sensinitas Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Anyone with RC 2.5" kit getting a rattle or clunking? I've checked all bolts and everything is tight. This is in a 2016 Sierra
GRH519 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 If it's the steel stamped A arm you are correct. If it's cast steel or aluminum you might have some options.
Joel Barnes Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Anyone tried 33x12.50 toyo m/t on stock 20 in wheels with 2 in leveling kit? Anyone tried 33x12.50 toyo m/t on stock 20 in wheels with 2 in leveling kit?
Bryan Catrina Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Nope its the Hydroformed lower arms, not cast...... sucks
skallywag Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 has anyone tried a 17x9 -12 offset wheel with 285/70r17, 305/65r17, or 33x12.50r17 on a 2015 GMC with a 2.5" RC level ive removed the airdam and will be doing a replacement in the future but want to upgrade and gain some more sidewall and some width but not rub to dang much not worried about trimming really but I use my truck for what its meant, off road driving, hunting, on the farm etc...

The bolts are longer and need to be used on the stamped. I ordered a MotoFab and the bolts were too short for mounting the understrut spacer. After talking with a couple shops, I ordered the wrong kit. The only difference is bolt length. The standard cast arms use shorter bolts than the aluminum or stamped.
tyrich88 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Nope its the Hydroformed lower arms, not cast...... sucks You can run a spindle lift. CST suspension has them. Socal Supertrucks has been installing quite a few on 2wd trucks.
Havvkeye Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Newby question, want to lift truck for some 305' on 20" stock wheels. I own a 2016 2wd SLT crew.... don't think I need anything in back, but don't want rubbing in front, what do you suggest? Sorry over 200 pgs to scan through Anyone tried 33x12.50 toyo m/t on stock 20 in wheels with 2 in leveling kit? Anyone tried 33x12.50 toyo m/t on stock 20 in wheels with 2 in leveling kit? I am running 305/55R20 on stock rims and there is incredibly slight rubbing on the felt and on the control arm at full lock with a 2" level. Not enough for me to actually do anything about at this point. That would mean there would be a lot more rubbing with the 12.5" width as the ones I have are more like 12"

MOhunter92 Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Guys, I was on rough country's site and on the 2.5 level, it says NOT for 2016s with stamped arms. I called and asked about it and was told with 2.5, the stamped steel arms end up contacting the strut coil. Then I saw that the aluminum kit works with stamped arms and rough country said that it works with the aluminum. Now I saw on rough country under FAQ somebody asking about it, and rough country said there will be a kit made for stamped steel arms now. I wonder if that kit will include new arms that better clear the strut coil? Does anybody have any info on this and did anybody run into issues with stamped steel arms on a 2016 and the 2.5 RCX kit? BFTscout Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Do you guys know if a 33x12.50 tire can be run on the Silverado with just a leveling kit? I have been running 33x12.50s on mine for 50k mile now. put the 2" level and tires on when it had 900 miles. At full lock it will slightly rub the swaybar. I just ordered a set of 305/65r18 nitto G2s so we will see, but I anticipate the same results. BTW... using the factory 18" wheels
