How would I add a couple inches to my 2005 silverado Z71 with a 6 inch

Iv looked around at adding a leaf I just don't want to add to much height for what I have in the front. If I crank the torsions up then get an alignment will I need to align if I install the leaf later?

T he rear doesnt affect the alignment

It says 1.5-2 inches but a few of the reveiws say it did more even up to 3. If I crank my t bars 1.5-2 inches will my truck be level with those springs.

it depends on the condition of the stock springs and how well the added is broken in. I went with 2500HD springs in the back and gained 1.5"

Theres just really no way to know is there? What do you think I should do? I dont want to put a leaf on and think it was a bad idea as it would be a pain to get it back to the way it was and a qaste of money.

I would find a wrecking yard and get some 02-06 2500HD leafs

Go with a larger block. DO NOT STACK

Why not a body lift? No added stress on any of your suspension components that way.

Body lifts are ruther expensive and the frame hangs down to Low

RCX makes the same kit for both the 4" and 6" NTD suspension lift. They only give you different blocks for the rear. Trust me, mine is coming off in about 2 weeks (McGaughy's kit gets here Friday!!!).

 

Do no stack blocks like Chris said. DO NOT crank your keys! Only reason I did so to mine is because I had to so the droop stops wouldnt touch the NTD bracket while driving. When in 4WD and the keys are cranked beyond an inch or so, it makes it start to pull funny left and right.

 

Best way is to add a body lift, and then if you add nerf bars, you barely even see frame. Only thing that sucks is that you lose your front tow hooks (but its a Chevy, there's no need to be pulled out of a hole )

What do you mean? The 4 inch and 6 inch RCX are the sane except for the rear blocks? That cant be right because I had mine perfessionally installed and the front was higher then the back and they dont let trucks leave there shop without being level and well my torsion bar bolts are in the stock location although I think the bolts were replaced might have to do with the fact I had them all the way cranked before I took it in. Anyway my front is about a quarter inch higher.

Unless they just so happened to send me the wrong entire front kit. From bolt to bolt on the subframe is 4.5". If you wanna measure yours and see the outcome.

So how can they say 6 inches theres just no way that its not 6 inches
