Marv, have you checked out this guy on Ebay ?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-to-2018-Chevy-Silverado-Crewcab-Subwoofer-Enclosure-Center-console-Hidden/362061168337?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

Since you've done the console swap this would be hidden under the console and not take up of the limited space behind the seat.

He also sells other kits with just the sub and/or amp included.

Just a thought....

Thanks for the thought! I have seen that however I actually build sub enclosures myself and don't mind giving up the space behind the seat since the only things I keep there are tie downs, dog supplies and shopping bags!

I spent less than $20 on some leds from amazon and made my own harness from the dummy plug. Waaaaayyy brighter than the oem 2 leds per side. Lol.

Where did you figure out which pins?

Just by looking at a plug on the oem kit. 14/15 are different pin locations from 16/17, so just be aware.

Got my oil and filter changed for the first time today. Bought the last 10 quarts of Acdelco 0W20 dexos 1 synthetic blend that the dealer had. Apparently dealerships (mine anyways) is no longer going to carry the blend. Just full synthetic from here on out.

Braved the 96° temp today and pulled my jump seat out. Will be doing a full console retrofit soon.

Awesome! This is my next mod I will be doing! Did you have to remove the front seats at all to remove the jumpseat?

I started to remove the passenger seat, unbolted, Seat belt removed, etc. The harness connector to the jump seat is underneath the passenger seat. So it’s not necessary, BUT, if you want to see how to remove the connector, I recommend it. Don’t need to remove completely, just unbolt it and tilt it back. I have several others asking me for a “how to”. Lol. So I’m working on that right now. Doing a full drawing cross reference using all the information here and with consulting others.

This should be interesting to see Phil. I am sure you are doing something in this console swap that those of us that do have a console will need to have once we see it.
