Installed a wireless charger in the jump seat. Took 5-10 mins tops. Eventually might hard wire to the cig lighter but for right now just running off the USB port. Thanks to Chris from the forum for the quick how to video

Lucky you to live in such a beautiful place and if my California native wife would agree to leave I'd be right back there with ya saving a ton of dough on registration fees and everything else!

Interested in this, does this only work with existing DVD players, or can you make a non DVD player head unit play DVD's. If so, do you just hook up a video cable as if it was a camera?

It will work with non dvd headunits (I have the IOB 7" with no cd or dvd) however the drag is it requires an expensive interface module to play video and display the cd menu on the screen. Unfortunately after numerous messages I never received a reply from either of the vendors here that sell modules/do reprogramming but I was able to find it direct from the manufacturer in S. Korea (Navitech) and will only have audio via the auxiliary input until it arrives. BTW, the module is also set up for front/side cameras as well as has 2 audio/video inputs and can be set up for hdmi input (I'm having mine programmed to mirror my phone as well as allow me to install an Amazon Firestick or similar device which requires in truck Wifi or phone tethering).

Changed my cabin filter yesterday. And then today when I start the truck and turn on the heat I can hear a helicopter sound from the blower motor. Do a quick Google search and find a video of a guy saying he had the same issue. Pulled out his blower motor and there were leafs in the blades.


So I pulled mine out and the same thing.

So if you change yours and are getting noises. Pull your blower motor and make sure there's no debris on there.

_{MA has a creative way of charging exactly the same as CA. You first dump a pile of cash at the insurance company, then head to the RMV (Registry of Motor Vehicles) with your insurance paperwork (RMV-1 I believe) - your plates are $60 for 2 years, you pay sales tax (5% on automobiles) based on what you paid for the vehicle (or vehicles KBB value if used - here is where they royally screw you), then $75 for a piece of paper that says you (or the bank) owns it ,. and on down the road you go.}

 

Somewhere between 3 months to 10 months later,  you get a nice surprise in the mail in the form of an excise tax, based on 5% of the vehicle's value, similar to how CA & AZ do registrations. When my Silverado was new (10 years back), my first excise bill was $515. These days the Silverado is down to $70 or so. Cheaper-to-keep-her, just like marriage.  You get one of these excise tax bills yearly, issued by the town, but they go down in cost as the vehicle depreciates. Thankfully they normally value the vehicle much lower than its actual value (at least in my town - YMMV!! Cities will RAPE your wallet clean ...). 

 

This is just one way this state extorts $$$ from you ... and there's over 4 MILLION vehicles on the road in MA ... yet, they always cry poverty ....... but I digress ...

Blacked out the front and rear bowties. Went with the eBay vinyl. Mixed reviews on the mod. My wife's came out really well a year ago. Seems like the seller has went with a cheaper vinyl now. Plan on upgrading to replacement bowties in a couple weeks.
