I was thinking of buying a pair and color matching them, not sure if it would be noticeable since my truck is Tungsten Metallic. Was wondering how much those cargo lights put out since they cant reflect to much off the flat black.

I had LED bulbs in my OEM housing and switched the light to this and this puts more light out than my stock, might’ve been the bulbs I was using before but definitely notice a difference for sure

Just installed a new third brake light on my 2017 Sierra 1500 6E315A71-2390-4452-AF84-57928C317B49.thumb.jpeg.3e3d4012769c9ef11d582be902222708.jpeg2B0A0D53-7870-45A1-8AE3-C5DEDB325B34.thumb.jpeg.179d0778ca36fa32a9d0741b01c3d7c7.jpeg

Make sure you get a good seal. I got the same style but with smoked lens, and I had a feeling the gasket was a bit thin. Turns out I was right, washed the truck and went to get my rags from under the seat and noticed seat was wet. "I didn't leave any windows down??" And saw the top was wet and the rear window, and finally the headliner. JOY.

Took it off and I saw where the plastic was rubbing on the paint. Ended up taking the beefier seal that was on the stock 3rd light and slapped it on. But being genital with tightening it down, I found out the plastic (on mine) is a bit weak and snapped right under the screw.

Love my light though!!

Just quoting because I laughed at the autocorrect.

I used windex then thinned isopropyl alcohol when I installed my 3rd so the new seal would get a good stick.

Yup I just took mine off today cause it cracked on the right side where the screw goes so I’m applying clear epoxy/glue to seal the small crack up cause it’s seeping in water  , let the inside dry out, reseal all around the edges and put it back on tomorrow, this Canadian winter will put it to the test see how long it lasts

I saw that too and laughed at the autocorrect. My iPhone used to autocorrect "Lardass" to "Kardashian." That was a great one!

Gotta get a good seal when you're working with a genital =)...OK, so I stretched the OP a bit.

On a more serious note, the 3rd brake light, XM/onstar shark fin, and seal around the windshield seem to be giving quite a few people some leak problems. I'm about to seal the shark fin with silicone or something just around the outside and the small hole in the back. Does anyone know if that's a bad idea for some odd reason? Is the small hole there for a reason?

I don't see anything wrong. Aside from my spelling blunder lol. I used silicone over the screws on my 3rd light.

Installed the Husky Splash Guards. Very easy instal. Opted to drill the optional hold on the rears rather than the tape and spring clip. Look great.

Used it as a truck today. Went out hunting with my uncle. He got a small doe. And that’s a case and a half of Point beer behind it. b20c5f0f85afc11a6b36b734ba55ebb3.jpg

Decided to color match the grille shroud just to see how I like it. Plasti dipped it first then used some dupli-color perfect match on top of that. Now I can just peel it off if I feel like it but I like it so I’m goin to have it professionally painted eventually.

Finally made a decision on which off-road bumper to go with a few weeks ago during a huge sale from Road Armor and decided to go with their brand new Sahara model with winch plate. I think my favorite part of this bumper is that they rate it for 12K lb winches for our trucks and declare the shackle mounts as tow points. Only company I've talked to that actually declares that shackle mounts as useful tow points. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. I'll post better pictures soon. Hopefully will be able to order a 12.5K Tuff Stuff winch soon if they ever come back in stock

Picked these parts up from the painter. Can’t wait to finally finish this upgrade. Headlights will be installed this weekend. Grille in about a month.
