I have an accent and very unusual contact names on my iphone, she is picking what I say 90% of the time. One thing I did notice though is if you have the HVAC on, blowing on your face she will not hear what you say, I just put my hand on the vent while I speak or have the vent blow air downwardSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The fan dosent shut off? I know if I'm doing anything involving hands free my and my fan is on high it slows does so it's quiet or it shuts off in my gmt900

It doesn't shut off and I never had it on high - the lowest position is even more than what I need

You have to keep talking to the system. It has to learn your voice it takes awhile. Once it learns your voice it will be able to pick it out of people in your truck. I got 12,000 miles on my truck now. It didn't take that long. But it does work pretty well.

Speaking of voice recognition, I'm sharing a link to a an email I've got from a dealer today about using Siri with MyLink. They did not mentioned the Silverado but I believe that MyLink is the same across all GM vehicles, at least in the features. http://us2.campaign-archive2.com/?u=01f02f629fba628d37f5043f5&id=e23df2882c&e=d57057bc86 I wonder if GM have added a feature that was not included in our 14's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do not think this feature is available in the Sierra/Silverado. I have an iPhone 5s, and I cannot access Siri by simply pressing the voice recognition button after pairing. Would be nice if I was wrong though, and there's some setting I need to fix to get it to work.
