issue Whistle sound, Oil pressure

I searched a little and didn't come up with anything. so...

just got my 2014 sierra denali 6.2 this week. and first thing that bugged me was that the dealer said with the contract they have with the fuel company, they can only fill it up with 87, when it clearly requires premium!

Get to driving, and it feels nothing like the 6.2 I test drove (prob because of the gas)

cracked the windows, and the truck straight whistles when you push on the gas. almost sounds like a turbo charger. not sure its it is coming from the front or back. intake, exhaust or transmission,,,??

and im not too thrilled with the oil pressure its getting either, normal driving its right on 40 PSI, if I floor it it will climb to almost 60 and then when idiling @ about 650 rpm its right on the 30 PSI mark. my buddy has a 5.3 and he said his is always right at 40 no matter what

ive got about 250 miles on the truck now.

The oil pump is a new style two stage pump. That's normal. Not sure on your other noise maybe a exhaust restriction or a vacuum leak.

My oil pressure gage moves and it's the 5.3.

I have a whistling sound too on acceleration. Windows down it's louder. Anyone had this addressed by dealer? Sounds like it's coming from rear axle but not sure.

I have the whistle also between light to medium throttle. Several people have asked if it has a turbo when they hear it go by. I have had zero issues with the truck since I bought it just always assumed it was the exhaust valve making the noise. Doesn't bother me as I can never hear it with the windows up.

Also.have.the 6.2,.your oil pressure reading match mine. Should be good to go. Not sure on the whistle, its been stupid cold outside, my windows stay shut tight, I'll update on the whistle in may lol.

The 6.2 Denali I test drove had whistle as well. It sounds like it is in the exhaust, either the exhaust manifold or the intermediate pipe (catalytic converter pipe). My 2011 5.3 has a similar whistle and I changed the catback exhaust thinking it was from the muffler, but the sound continued. You get used to it after a while.

I also have a whistling sound coming from the rear, it's been there since day one. I test drove two other trucks, one being a Silverado, same whistle. It might be normal, I never asked though.

I just bought a 2014 double cab, 4wd, 4.3 v6 GMC

Mine whistles also....if you didn't know any better, you would swear it has a turbo! It is annoying, I am going to look into it further after I recover from a surgery I just had.

BTW I absolutely love the truck!!

Hmm I will have to listen for that whistle is it constant or just when a good looking chick is in view? .

i've got this whistle also, doesn't happen all the time but mostly seems to happen when you give a good amount gas from a dead stop. Hard to replicate for the dealer so I haven't taken it in yet.

Like others said oil pressure sounds fine. I'd be more worried about your buddy's that doesn't move.

My first 14 didn't whistle but the newer one does. Between 1700-2000 rpm and goes away any more or less. I have 1100 miles on it now and it seems like the whistle is going away the more I drive it? Lol. It doesn't really bother me though. Its def an exhaust noise and I'm going to clamp open the adaptive valve and see if it makes a difference.

Mine started around 1k miles or either I never noticed it before. I'm thinking it's from the exhaust too, I clamped my exhaust valve awhile ago so maybe I'll get under it and make sure it's still clamped.
