Steering wheel cleaning/cleaner

It seems to be that my steering wheel is getting a lot of gunk and dirt and general build up from my hands. I have fairly clean hands but that doesn't seem to stop it from getting dirty. I really don't want to buy a steering wheel cover but if I have to I guess I can.

 

Main question is that do other members have this problem and if so how do you keep it clean and with what. I don't want to damage the "leather" so I'm looking for some answers.

I use mothers leather wash with a microfiber towel.
