Looks like it is pretty easy to take off so I may do that to see if the noise no longer happens.

Is it the one down underneath near the cat or the one on the exhaust manifold?

The one on the exhaust manifold but I found another possible culprit and it's right under the drivers side footwell! This little black piece between the engine and transmission is totally loose and rattles like crazy when I plucked it. Not sure what it is but looks like it would be easy to remove.

Is it plastic? I checked mine and it feels flexible like plastic. I stuck some 3M VHB adhesive tape between that and it stopped rattleing when I hit it, but didn't solve my exhaust leak sound.

I just started noticing the "exhaust leak" sound coming from drivers side door/floorboard as well.  I've got just about 4,000 miles on the truck with range and Borla Catback exhaust.  All of the Borla clamps are tight and exhibit no signs of an exhaust leak, which makes sense to me, as the sound is not coming from the passenger side...it's driver side only.  Annoying.

I've been chasing this sound for a while now. I dont believe it's an exhaust leak. Im able to produce a constant sound in manual mode. 

I drove in second gear and approached a set of train tracks. Going over the tracks, the sound would cut out and return. Im starting to lean towards it being a rattle. Possibly a heat shield as already mentioned. 

 

Driving me nuts because its the only thing wrong with my truck.

Sometimes I have the noise when I'm parked and I rev above 2,000 RPMs. If I turn the wheel while doing this then the sound goes away at certain wheel positions. I don't know if the sound is actually going away, or the position of the wheel or steering shaft is blocking the sound from going through the firewall so it is no longer noticible.

So I too have that noise however I don’t believe it’s the flapper valve because I don’t have one with the Borla cat back. I notice it got louder so I changed back to the stock tune and it seemed to go away, but eventually came back. I’ve only noticed the noise when the truck is under a load. The videos in the previous post sounds like noisy lifters which is a known issue with Chevy/ GM

Exact same thing here.  Truck would be perfect if not for this.  

 

Mine has been making the sound everyone has, to include a slight buzzing noise under the driver footwell.  Bone stock 5.3L SLT.  Doesn't matter if it's in park, driving, coasting etc.  Revving the engine make the buzz noise, get the marbles in a can while driving, worse in V4.  It was driving me nuts all weekend, and then I hit a bump today and it disappeared.  Or I can take a tight corner and it will stop for a while.  They buzz and the marbles in a can go hand in hand (had the fuel feed pipe replaced and didn't change anything).  It seems to be worse in the summer than in winter.  

 

To me, this eliminates basically everything but a rattle of something, or perhaps a leak in an exhaust joint that flexes back and forth.  But with everyone on here fixing/changing/upgrading exhaust, I would think someone would have figured it out if it was exhaust related. 

 

I am following a few of these threads and really hoping someone figures it out.

Curious, are you using pwemium fuel?

Always used regular.  I am actually planning to fill up this week with premium to see if it makes a difference.  That is one of the last things I am going to try before either taking it back to the dealer (to have them tell me they can't hear it or aren't able to fix it), or going nuts with dynamat inside and out to quiet things down.
