1999 silverado 1500 z71 4x4 issues

i'm new to the forms but i read them all the time to find solutions for problems im having with my truck. i have a extended cab 1999 Silverado 1500 Z71 an cant seem to track down the reason behind why my 4 wheel drive doesnt work. iv replaced the button switches on the dash and the electric motor on the transfer case its self it worked for a few months and now it doesnt. any tips for tracking down the problem would be a great help!

If your 99 has the same push button arrangement as on my 98, there's small lights to indicate if the truck is in 2WD or 4WD or Hi or Low or whatever. Even though it's not shifting, do the buttons currently light up?

Yes the lights do light up.

Well, if the lights on the buttons light up you're getting power, at least to the switches that is. I'd be looking at that servo motor on the transfer case again or checking for a bad fuse.
