I have blind spot monitoring in my 2015 Mazda 6 and it has saved me too many times to count. You would think they would offer it in GM trucks....should be standard equipment for all vehicles.

It is standard on my 2500.....they're called mirrors. :)

I found the truck easier to drive than those new ford explorer? (cop car) buggies. I actually had to use the computer screen in the dash to back up.

I was tasked to drive one, 200 or so miles. First stop I realized I was hurting my neck trying to see if a little kid or whatever, was about to be squashed by me backing up.

..my dad pointed out the dash stuff to me.

sorry for your accident. Truck is very young.

given the new led driving lights, not sure how anyone can be blind to a truck...

and that rack and pinion snap. An old steering box would have broken your wrist first...and keep working.

NOOOOOOO!

Sorry to see that, stings that it's your baby and relatively new.

Here's to getting it back better than new with no issues whatsoever!

Crazy eh? I'm going to get it repaired seeing as it's fully covered by the others insurance, I'm just afraid it's never going to feel the same as it did prior to the accident..

Nowadays it's replacing parts, realignment. The days of bondo pretty much gone. Doesn't look bad at all. New parts, paint and back on the road.

Shouldn't have to rely on blind spot sensors.

Driving requires proper skills. Turn your head and look before changing lanes.

That sucks, they can make it good as new again, at least no body got hurt... I have decided to become detached to my vehicles because of stuff like this happening to them, I just view it as a tool, if it breaks fix it or replace it.

Nissan didn’t look, but truck appears to have been speeding. That wheel folded pretty easily.. that sucks

Yup.  I've seen a few lifted trucks and SUVs snap wheels like that.  They ain't as tough as they look.

Wtf that LCA snapped like a twig. Mine still uses the factory ones. Hopefully they're not that weak

Not to get into a fight but I would rather trust my eyes then a sensor...

don’t have a picture yet but i put them little round mirrors from auto zone and they saved me quite a bit, even in parking lots when backing up or into a spot...

That or them little mirrors from autozone. Had them on 5 previous rides and they have all saved me.

I dont have the pic but i was backing up my old truck (2ed truck i owned) which is 21’ long, long story short i had about 3” to spare from the side of a pole, at the gas station.

Those mirrors, cameras and sensors only help if you use em..
