2019 Ram

It’s def all personal preference I have never been a huge fan of the Ram trucks. The wife has a Durango which looks pretty mean looking though.

It is great that we have choices.  The RAM with a manual transmission has received a great deal of my interest.  I am serious fan of pickups with a manual transmission but I'd rather own an automatic GM or Ford.  This thread is a fun read but I cannot figure out why it hasn't been moved to the off-topic area of this forum.

To me its strange that stuff is wore out already. My friend has the same truck and 82,000 truck is fine. No front end problems still original breaks.

Speaking of original breaks, I'm on the original front pads on my 2002 Silverado with 177k miles on it.  Looked at them when I rotated the tires and they still have a good bit of pad left. :)

You're not driving fast enough

I will say this. I just got a CPO 15 Silverado LTZ after coming out of a 16 Ram Big Horn loaded with leather. The interior of the Ram was much nicer, the truck rode better, and sounded much better stock. That being said, it had a sunroof and my head hit the ceiling when I drove (seat in lowest position), uconnect was very buggy, nav was terrible, cruise control only worked if you smacked the steering wheel first, and the build quality in general left a lot to be desired. The thing would dent if a moth flew into it.

I switched to a used Silverado because I wanted a long term truck without worrying about reliability. I hope I’m right.

Coming from a 2016 F150, I can calmly and assuredly say that ^^^ that statement is incorrect...

^^^^^^    probably why RAM trucks and other Fiat/Chrysler vehicles are being recalled for cruise control issues.

Well my eye test tells me different. And so do every other truck magazine/website.

From what ive seen, Ford uses more hard plastics that Chevy or Ram. However, Chevys interiors seem to be less solid with more snap, crackle pops and less comfortable seats than the other two.

Well, my eyes, ears, and touch says differently. My F150 had the worse interior of the last 5 trucks I've owned(GMT800, GMT900, 2 K2XX's and the F150). And that was on top of the horrible build quality of the electrical system. Spent 3 of the 9 months I had it in the shop for electrical gremlins.

Wow worse then gmt800? Hahaha Cmon now.

Anyhow when I look at a loaded gm truck and loaded ford truck , the inside of the ford is just nicer.

I completely understand that you have had problem with yours but not fair to generalize all.

I just had a gm buyback on my last gm truck which was a 14 , problem after problem. Yikes but I know not all gm trucks are like that.

I've had problems with my 2016 F150, 2006 F150 and 2015 Escape. Those are the only Fords I've ever owned and everyone of them were pieces of shit and spent more time in the shop than on the road. 100% failure rate in my experience, compared to one GM that I had trouble with. And yes the interior of my XLT F150, felt cheaper and rattled more than my 2012 GMT900. And the GMT900 interior is the worse interior of a GM truck in the last 30 years. GMT800 was quiet till the day I traded it in.
