That is where mine was leaking in on both sides.. that photo is behind the rear driver side headrest then go straight up to where headliner meets rear window and Push it up. Thanks, I will take a look.
OnTheReel Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Guess they found those cracks in the window frame and are putting the goop on it tomorrow. Going off of other’s experiences here I might as well make an appointment in advance to have it fixed again. Thankfully they have a touchless wash right on their lot so I will run it through before I even leave. Really unfortunate that they have to do this crap before GM will authorize a window. Get the feeling they don’t value anyone’s time. Not the dealer’s and especially not the owner’s.

These new trucks are disasters waiting to happen in so many ways. Disaster?

Even from up top. Get lots of water in the third brake spoiler. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk 1
OnTheReel Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Well, I have it back temporarily and what a mess they made. I just feel sick about the whole thing. Dirty fingerprint marks all over the thing. The stuff around the dome light is really disgusting. The also put pry marks in a couple pieces of trim, scratched up the windshield with the A pillar trim and broke my rear view mirror, which mysteriously now wiggles up and down about an inch. What the hell man. All of this and it might still leak, and you can still see the faint waterline where the window leaked onto it...going back next week and emailing these to their service manager. Am I being unreasonable here? I mean I keep the thing in perfect condition and get it back like this...

You paid good money for a working & non-leaking truck with a limited warranty. They screwed shit up while working on it. On them to fix or replace it. I’d try some Folex (Lowe’s) on the grease spots left on anything that’s fabric (test a small spot) if you have to do it yourself. 3
fish_guru Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 I don't think you're being unreasonable. You should never get your vehicle back in worse condition than you gave it to them. I had a similar experience when my window was being fixed...they gouged/scratched the interior kick panel taking the back seats in and out. Had some scratches around the back window where it was removed and found 2 screws rolling around the back seat. Thankfully my dealer made it right. Unfortunately, my truck still leaks. Just dropped it off at the dealer yesterday...again...for the fourth time. 2
Gh-behnam Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Add me to list also. Dealer 1st attempt failed, now I have to take it to dealer again hopefully I get lucky this time

Not unreasonable to expect it back In the same condition as you left it with them at all. I hope they make it right, and quickly. 1
Ranger522vx Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 (edited) So I have a 2019 trail boss I purchased within the last month. Should I be keeping an eye out for mine to be leaking? Is this an issue with a portion of the newer 2019’s that came out? Is this isolated to a small batch of trucks or what? I absolutely hate taking my truck to the dealer and it makes me sick seeing what you guys are going through. Edited September 1, 2019 by Landon Wingate

On or before 10/2018 could mean trouble for the back window. I don’t want to say it’s a guarantee, but between here and the Facebook group, I’ve seen probably hundreds of people with the problem. And that’s just in the really small sample of enthusiasts who care enough to join a group or forum and post online; probably much less than 1% of buyers. You do the math, but to me it seems the majority of the early builds leak or will leak. Mine took 8 months of ownership. Others drove it off the lot and found a leak the next day. Also, if it was truly just a small batch, GM probably would replace the window rather than put a ton of loyal customers through hell with their jury rig sealant job. But they know they can’t afford 10s of 1000s of window replacements, nor could they supply that many replacement parts easily. Just my 2 cents. 1
lebag335 Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 After having this repair done, I finally was able to run the truck through a car wash this weekend. Good news! No leaks! I’m not sure how long it will last, however; this is a good thing at least for today. 4
ShamrockShooter Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Drop mine off for a rear window tonight. Also they greasy fingerprints that were all over the headliner, the dealer detail shop was able to remove them by cleaning it.Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk 3
Smitty Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Is there any one with a build date before 10/18 that HASN'T had the problem?
