Ok thanks. Did you finally get your window fully replaced? Any leak issues since? ShamrockShooter

Also- does anyone have a build date as late as mine (11/9/18) that is experiencing this rear window water leak? When I called GM and explained situation and referenced bulletin #18-NA-383.. I was told my truck falls out of the affected date window (10/18).
Yes got window replaced but they damaged a bunch getting it out. The water could also be leaking in the holes that the rear spoiler bolts to the truck. It could Also be a bad seal around the window, both of which would be different than most of the leakers.

Nope. The new window looked slightly different than the old one so GM must have switched suppliers or part number from the early build

2019 TB LT.  build date 2/19.  Rear window now leaking. Both sides upper corners.

Oh joy.   Can’t wait to have dealers techs greasy little d*ck beaters al over my new truck.   Boils my blood just thinking of it.

Hell I can’t even get an oil change without oil residue on my steering wheel and dirt smudges on my seat.

This is the first truck I have heard of built after 10/18 with a window leak. They were all suppose to be fixed after 10/18.

Wish that was the case.   I’ve been keeping an eye on it because of the rain we have been having.  And ,  yes she’s wet.   Not happy to bring this up but is what it is.

May very well just be the spoiler with that late of a build. My window frame was cracked, but the dealer also said there was no seal around the spoiler retainer holes which may have leaked eventually too.

Hopefully it’s just that anyway. Once they started putting the goop on the window, I pretty much decided to trade on the refresh. I’m kinda over it, but it will always bug me a little and I know it’s going to leak again one day.

Keep something in mind.  I found a leak on my 2015 and it wasn't from the sliding window.  It was actually from the third brake light.  They idiotically use a foam gasket to seal the light when placed into the enclosure of the cab.  I found that the gasket wore out and that was causing water to drip down the headliner over the window and to the back seat.  I pulled their gasket off and replaced it with a better rubber gasket from Home Depot.  This may or may not help some of you, but it's info that I'm hoping will help someone.

Yes, my 2010 and one of my 2013s leaked the same way.   Third brake light seal.  Not a hard fix.  Pull the brake light put some sealant along to top and sides of the seal.

Well damn that sucks. At least your not the first so there should be plenty of info in this thread. If it is the upper rail glass guide under no circumstances should you let them seal it. If they won't put in a new window, just call your insurance and file a glass claim and have Safelite replace it.

When posting the 10/18 date from GM, are they saying 10/18/2018 or 10/31/2018?

10/18/2018

So , since mine is built 2/19.  That means no window replacement or what ?  I’m assuming it’s all warranty.   I’m nervous to have anyone hacking my window out.  Wish I could just do it myself

I've been thinking about putting in a power rear window in mine.  The window itself isn't hard, the hooking up of the wiring and button for it, that is another story.

Mine has build date 11/9/2018 and is a leaker. Going to dealership tomorrow- going to push for full window replace.

Just because you have water inside doesn't necessarily mean it's the rear window leaking. In my case it was the 3rd brake light housing that needed resealed. It is going on 4 months since they resealed mine and still no more leaking.
