fotomatt1 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 What is the spreadsheet everybody is speaking of? I might need to go through this process again soon. I have a a '19 RAM 1500 that's been nothing but trouble and I filed for Lemon Law yesterday. It will likely be a few months before anything is resolved, but if / when I need to purchase a new truck, it will likely be a '19 Sierra (maybe a '20) and I want to make sure I have all my information straight before I walk into a dealership. Thanks in advance!

brianc636 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Thanks, I want the truck but can live without it, especially since my kid doesn’t technically get my car for another 5 months. I’d like for them to swap the steps on it to the off road ones at that price but I’m probably being greedy at this point. Still haven’t heard back from the guy about coming down to sign paperwork on Friday. It’s a 4 hour drive to get it and I figured he’d be foaming at the mouth when i basically said get to this number and we’ll drive 4 hours to pick it. He couldn’t get an easier sale. The wife says I’m too impatient, she’s probably right.

AT4 loaded, MSRP at $66k, they had it listed on their site for $56k (with all the stacked incentives that no one qualifies for) for "Truck Month". I was trying to work a similar deal as you but got NOWHERE. I was willing to go up some just because I did like the truck so much. Nope, nothing doing. I have since expanded my search out multiple states...

I have since expanded my search out multiple states...I’ve done the same. I’m in SW missouri, I’m look at this truck in Arkansas, one In Oklahoma City and now several in Texas. I even went as far as talking to a dealer I worked with on another truck and told them I’d buy from them if they’d get close to see if they’d be willing to get the truck and nothing from them either. It just seems the color/option combination I want is rare, not sure why.
BigWhiteMastadon Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Yeah, that’s the trick, when I started asking about the colour combo I wanted and options, only three popped up in North America at the time. Thankfully the dealer was driven to give a fair deal.
jamin87ss Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I got no where again, this months offers are terrible unless u want a dbl cab, then there great, just not sure i want a dbl cab yet.

KEB Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Picked up an RST Double Cab 5.3 yesterday. Rubber floor mats, bed protection group, all star, and Z71. 48K sticker. Paid 38 after TTL, before down payment. Akron, OH
Jricharc Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Is it realistic to think I can get a '19 model w/ the 6.2 for $40k? I dont care what trim at this point I just want the 6.2 w/ Z71 package.

I've been looking at trucks with the 6.2L for about two months and can say it's going to be super difficult to find that anywhere for that price. The only 2019 trucks that have the 6.2 are the LTZ/High Country on the Chevy side and the SLT/AT4/Denali. Closest bet will be looking into an SLT. They're going for around $45k with a 6.2, maybe a touch cheaper. Like others have said, the incentives are trash this month. 1

Yea that has been what I was finding, I am thinking I may need to hold off another year until the lower level 2020 trim models with the 6.2 have been on lots a bit, just hate to drop $40+k and regret it a year or so later.

It would probably be a lot less than a year. We should see 2020 models in just a few more months.

You'll never see the for $40K new. The SLT is also very unlikely. Adding the Z71 package almost certainly guarantees you won't find one for $40K.
cltsig Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 (edited) I'd say SLT is below LTZ. My LTZ had some optionsnot available on the SLT, like tech (HUD, cameras). Not sure if that makes one or the other "higher" but seems most SLTs are cheaper than LTZs. Then again, I could be completely wrong. Edited July 3, 2019 by cltsig
