Extra TPMS sensors supplied with your truck?

Yup its a LTZ that comes ready to go, just need the sensors.

I’ll try to get a photo and / or part numbers of what I have in a little bit so you can go in next time armed with some more information. They aren’t cheap and you definitely should get them. If I had to guess, someone doing the PDI or whatever took them out thinking they were extras? No idea.

Around here, the PDI doesn't involve any quality inspections or topping off of DEF fluid or fuel or anything like it's supposed to.  All it consists of is the dealer having their newest shop employee remove any loose items from the bed, trunk, rear seat, glovebox, console, etc. (manuals, running boards, wheel covers, splash guards, wheel well inserts, front license plate holders, floor mats, bed mats, electronic cables, extra TPMS's, etc.) and throw them in their back room.  IF you know what you are missing and bug them long enough, you just might get some of your stuff back.  Otherwise, when the room gets full, they throw it away or sell it.  Or the shop employees use it as a pick-a-part room for themselves.

Hello. Purchased a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT CrewCab. $5500 from GM, GM educator discount, Costco discount. Also, had my own financing. The dealership really wanted me to go w/ GM financing. I was able to get truck w/ better wheels as one listed online(I brought in paperwork on it), was in storage & not ready to go. So, $39K out the door. Note: I had been looking at trucks from Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Fernando Valley, to Las Vegas. I did my research, was patient, and could have kept my Yukon. BTW-I sold my Yukon to my mechanic for a good price.

Have you brought this to GM's attention or tried going to a different dealership?

Check your valve size most travel trailers are .625. GM is .453  have to be modified. Not sold in that size yet

My 2019 Sierra SLT also came with the TTPMS.  If you do have them installed check with several tire shops in your area, cost varies widely.  In the GMC Manual pages 301 and 302 outlines the programming method.  Pages 378 and 379 outlines the installation.

Is there an easy way to measure the valve stem? i did notice the valve stem does need to be .453 but it really doesn't say how that is measured and i'm not that familiar with it. I do have a trailer that I would like to put the sensors on but i can't find anywhere on the trailer where it says that or online. Thanks in advance!

 

Does anyone know if a discount tire will do the install and not charge an arm and a leg to get it done.

I picked up my 2019 Trail Boss LT last year and it did come with the trailer tire sensors.  My truck came with the Advanced Trailering Package which includes the tire sensors.  It looks like you need this option to get the sensors.  I had mine installed in my cargo trailer this year and they work great!

For 2020 the sensors are not included with the advanced trailering package.  It's an additional $50 option from the factory.  If the dealer didn't order the truck that way, it's $125 for two sensors from the dealer.  Not much of an incentive for the dealer to order sensors as a factory option when he can sell four sensors for $250.

I would think not.  Even if they did work, you'd have to monitor the readings on your infotainment screen.  I imagine they work on different frequencies so as to not interfere with each other.
