I remember the old slide recipe with carbon paper. My first job after getting my license was pumping gas at a Getty Service Station in NJ. I worked there for about 4 months before my father hired me to be a fueler and greaser at his company. He would never take us to work. I had no idea the size of his company. Only because he didn’t want us to be exposed to the language. I was shocked at how my uncle’s and father spoke on the job. -
Agreed, it definitely appears to follow the EV motif, especially because it appears to follow the rockers on the Sierra too.... but has to be a cost saving measure as well. Between rocks and bugs and driving 20K+ a year on Texas highways, I can keep the painted front ends looking decent with PPF and a thorough periodic cleaning, but the unpainted plastic cant be coated, or cleaned up well. The same plastic underneath the bumpers on all our current generation trucks is beat to hell after 2 years or less on the road. -
Gas dispenser give out recipes? Wonder if they've got one for chocolate pie. I owned and operated a full service station in the 80's to early 90's, so yes I understand that. We started out with the mechanical counter dispensers that we had to show the price of fuel at 50% and put signs up saying you were going to owe double the shown pump price. Thos mechanical ones wouldn't allow for some of the high prices we experienced. Eventually upgraded to 1st generation of electronic dispensers. Which were still primitive compared to today -
I'm very interested in what type of cylinder deactivation GM has come up with. It can't possibly be the same as the current gen 5.3/6.2!!! That would be a disaster. I am in the market, but I'll need some pretty convincing positive reviews on these engines before I commit to a $70,000-$80,000 truck! (Almost bought a 2500hd AT4 6.6 gas this week. But I decided to be patient and see what develops with the new V8's). -
It's been around for a while. It suddenly has taken off virally on facebook. Enough people have finally posted a bunch of links like these and it's slowing down Like the guy I referenced that I wanted to immolate, he was screaming at the attendant that they were ripping everyone off. He was calling the cops and everything. Cops said they weren't coming out for what he described, but they would come out and trespass him if he didn't calm down
