Are there any conditions that you could re-create the shift to park message for the dealer, or some other method to test and prove the switch is failing? Truck is still covered by a GM extended warranty for another year, but the message is only coming up a time or two every other week. I've seen the threads about the switch being the failure point, but as usual, the dealer says they cant do anything under the extended warranty without "re-creating the issue." Assuming having a phone ready to video at each shut down is the only option on the table at this point?
I have yet to see a set of GM wheels on a current generation HD truck (2020+) that I actually like. Least ugly is the best one can hope for in my opinion with the current GM wheels. The steel wheels actually look better than most of the alloys to me. Since they are the equivalent of work boots, I don’t let it bother me to the point where I consider spending money on wheels for the sake of looks. Luckily the 18” ones that came with my 2021 don’t scream ugly at me - they just whisper “can’t you at least notice how ugly I am once in a while.”
By rights these trucks should come from the factory or at least have a factory optional anti sway bar for towing high trailers and certainly slide in campers. GM always used to have their trucks fitted with rear sway bars if optioned properly but for some odd reason don't do that anymore. Certainly a sway bar would help that issue a lot, not the ride though but the leaning/control.
