LWB leveled trucks

Recommended Posts

Does anyone own a CC long bed HD that can share photos?  Would love to see one leveled.

I am debating on ordering a lwb.  I’ve had short bed 3/4 Ton trucks and currently a 1 ton srw short bed now.  It’s been 8-9 years since I had a long bed, but I recall that it rode better unloaded.

An old thread I know....hoping someone may have a leveled long bed by now

While mine isn’t leveled, I went from a 15’ short bed 3500 to a 21’ long bed 3500.  I would say the ride is smoother unloaded but especially with the trailer hooked up, that could be due to the new configuration improvements too though.  I love the extra space in the box and personally feel the long box is more proportional to the cab which gives it a better look.  And it’s only 15”-16” longer overall in the new configuration I believe.

I need to get some better photos but a few are below.

The truck looks great!  What size tire are you running?

I had a long bed 2500 years ago and I do believe they ride noticeably better than a swb, loaded or empty.  I’d also agree that the long bed looks more proportional to the cab on these models.

Thanks for the compliment.  I’m loving the new model.  They are fixing a small transit scratch for me today and loaned me a 16’ and it made me miss my new truck quickly.

I’m running 295/65/20 ridge grapplers.  No rubbing issues.  My buddy just put the same size/tires on his too.

I was guessing they were 295’s.

How do you like the bed cover?  What brand/model is it?  I’ve toyed with the idea of having one instead of a tool box on my next truck but am still on the fence.

I’m liking the bed cover, it offers great flexibility in use and can fold all the way up to the rear window.  It’s a Bakflip G2. I went with it over their MX4 model since I wanted the gloss look on the panels to match the gloss wheels and the shine on the truck.

I went with 18% ceramic tint on the front to match the back too.

Keep this up to date if you pull the trigger.  It’s tough to find pictures of the long beds.

That was a good call on the finish of the bed cover....really completes the look on a black truck.

That’s the same tint I have on the front windows of mine, but I had 5% put over the factory tint on rear doors and back glass, so you cannot see in the backseat at all during the day, which is nice for keeping the kids cooler and also keeps any belongings out of view.

I’ll keep this thread up to date if I pull the trigger on one.  There is very little in the way of pics of Lwb 2020 trucks.

I just got this a month ago and pulled the camper for the first time this past weekend, unloaded and loaded it rides a lot better than the 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali HD I had. Really impressed with this truck.

Sweet truck and camper!  I agree, the first tow was such a difference from my 2015.  The 10 speed was so smooth and I really liked the turn signal camera view down the trailer blind spot.

It's a regular cab - but a long bed.  Love it - used to pull my 0 foot camper with my 1500, pulling it with this I don't even notice it there.

For the heck of it I also included a picture from the day it came off the truck.  Superlift level with rear spacers - 20x10's and 35's

Thanks and you have a sweet setup also!

Really impressed with the 10 speed and how smooth it shifts. Definitely like the turn signal cameras, but my biggest thing is getting used to them.

Great looking truck.  I’ve always liked the look of the regular cab long beds. What wheel and tire setup are you running?
