Naked, Boards, Bars, or Steps (POLL)

What is your preference for visual/looks (not functionality)?  I'm on the shorter side so the bars I had on my 2007 were nice for getting in and out but I think I like it naked for visual.  Some of them are pretty ugly.  This is a weekend ride so it's not a big deal to have to hop in and out once in awhile.  I only have a 2" level on the front so it ain't that bad.

Naked all the way. Running boards scream "old man".

If you can't get in your truck on your own, its too high IMO.

Naked DEFINITELY looks better!!

I liked mine more without steps, but this 5' wife of mine and two kids under 8yo needed some assistance getting in [emoji2367]

 

I did go the extra mile and added the articulating ones tho [emoji1531]

Naked 100%. They do make some nice looking steps now days and the amps are the best of both worlds (at a price). But looks alone in my opinion are best without them.

I'd probably rather go naked but I like the extra protection the running boards give from rocks off the front tires. I also kind of need them to get in.

I removed the factory boards cause I like em naked but my wife complained about getting in it so I went with some Rough Country step bars that tuck up closer than the boards, the Amp power steps are the ticket but I can't pull the trigger on those for some reason yet lol

Looks like most of you are on board with my preference.  Kincer - If I did end up doing anything it was going be something very similar to what you have.  I like how they tuck close to the body and you can't see the brackets.

 

I think I need to paint all those black plastic inserts in the rocker panels though because that doesn't quite look right with a white truck.  They really stick out.

I don't like the looks of boards either, but being on the short side doesn't help at all, so I went with AMP Power steps. Best of both worlds.

So I voted on the poll before I read the post....

 

Looks, naked is best. 

 

But, I like the step for getting in, and don't think it necessarily looks bad either.

Naked looks best! Running the Amp Extremes for that reason plus i'm short.
