Belo Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 I have a 19, all recalls done and just ticked 10k at 18 months and while not all the time and obviously more prominent in wet weather I've noticed my breaks are pretty squeaky on the first few slow breaks. Never had this on any of my silverados before. And normally I wouldn't care if it was a faint squeak, but it's a loud "change your pads" kind of squeak and even my dad commented on it. Just me?
TNAT4 Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 I've noticed the same on my 2020 AT4 recently, I've got about 18k miles on it.
BigMick2023 Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Mine does it only when backing out of the driveway and applying brakes in the morning... Never had it squeak while applying brakes in the forward motion. 1
blckblt Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Same here. First thing/use. Especially when backing out of the garage. 1
AEmedic Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 My brakes squeak occasionally, but I only notice it when it is wet...

Osteoman Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Mine does it only when backing out of the driveway and applying brakes in the morning... Never had it squeak while applying brakes in the forward motion. Also for me. 2019 AT4 with 40k. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
BlancoSilverado Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Same 29k miles. Only for the first or second stop and then it goes away. Probably just a side effect of the pad, more then likely will be there until you go aftermarket.
CamaroVetteGuy Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Just over 10 k miles on my TB and the brakes squeak

Belo Posted December 23, 2020 Author Posted December 23, 2020 seems weird that in 100 years of making trucks that this would be a new issue...
railguy777 Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Mine does it as well. Only in reverse when backing out of the driveway, after that nothing 1
Dallas Kiezik Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Heard something about a lower copper content in newer more epa friendly pads. Could be a factor.
