Fueled up a Murphy (Walmart) $5.40/gal for 91 and with 8 dual pumps, I had to wait my turn. LOL.

It’s true there’s greed involved the downside of capitalism. There’s still nothing better. Like complaining about living in the U.S. No doubt lowering quantity for the same or more profits is the American way. How many people would work 10 hours for pay that 8 hours brings across the street. But ultimately it’s our fault. Our president stated what his policy was towards big oil before the election and after. We didn’t pay attention, well some of us. It’s funny how people complain about a system they benefit from until they have to put a little work in to fix it. I live through it before saw it coming.

Starting to spread across other sectors...

"Current U.S. gasoline consumption levels are running 3% lower than a year ago and have been declining at a 3-5% clip the past seven weeks, according to researchers at DataTrek (chart below). DataTrek noted that these declines were not the case prior to April 2022, suggesting that pain at the pump is affecting consumer behavior."

Drove my sister's Civic to work today, truck's MPG has tanked and now has a longer start that I have had once before. *sigh*

I guess it doesn't matter though. $4.69 for regular now

 .. we picked real winner….

People have said this for six thousand years. Ops! It would have been different if we had picked someone else.

Truth is humans are horrible at self rule. We have the right to but not the ability to....do it well.

There is no right human choice

I drove by my favorite dealership this morning. GMC-Hyundai dealership. Not many cars on the Hyundai side. The lot was full just 2 months ago. A few more trucks on the GMC.  I read this morning new vehicle sales are slowing down. People are realizing the administration claims this is temporary. Not believing it.

Exactly, why rule of law is critical. Consent of the governed critical too.
The day the governed believe you just ignore rule of law instead of changing it by consent of governed you get wanker unelected tyrants telling you it’s ok.
Even judeo christian law is based on free will and consent of governed in this life.

You watch people drive, right?

Do you believe driving laws are enforced?

This state openly admits unwritten policy that speeding isn't speeding until you are over by 10 mph.

What does the LAW say?

Kill someone doing 10 over and see what that speed limit is.

Unenforced or selectively enforced  law is not law.

Not even a good suggestion.

That doesn’t change the law. Rule of law is just that. LEO enforcement of traffic laws is the grey part of law you love.  Lol

The gas stations that usually raise their prices first are at 4.49 now. The rest will follow when they get the next load.
