Are you working with a smaller dealer?

I sure learned a lot about ordering from GM when I bought a CT5-V Blackwing. Tried to do so through my local dealer who does not get hardly any allocations for the V cars. After 3 months and nothing I changed to an out of state dealer who leads the nation in V car sales and had my allocation 6 months after (I know that sounds extreme for at the time the car was near impossible to get).

I am considering a new truck order and checked in with my regular sales guy. He told me an allocation for me would be fast. They sell a fair amount of trucks. I am just deciding on which model I want.

I picked up a 24' 3500 LT Diesel on Tuesday and "placed" an order for a 3500 LTZ Diesel in the Slate Gray Metallic Z71 Sport package. The dealer can't put the order yet as the color won't be available until "late summer" according to Chevy. Hopefully once the color becomes available to order there are no other hold ups.

3/3/23 paid deposit on SRW Denali Ultimate Titanium Rush

4/28 rec'd call from dealer. Had an allotment but the 5th wheel package wasn't available. I chose to wait for next allotment.

5/11 dealer called with a June 1 build date.

That's a badass truck you have coming. The new 2024 GMC's are absolutely a work of art in person. Those Ultimates costs almost 3 of my 2024 LT gassers.

My 2024 HC showed upon at the dealer Saturday. Ordered it middle of January. Should be picking it up some time this week.

Well.... after 10 weeks waiting for an allocation from dealer "A" with no hope in sight, i found another dealer "B" with an available allocation. New order is placed, let the waiting begin.....again....

Luckily i did not leave a deposit with dealer "A".

Picked up my 2024 yesterday. 6.6 Gas High Country. Too early to provide any worthwhile feedback, driven it all of 20 miles so far. After market wheels/tires going on next week.

Similar situation. I placed my order with the dealer on March 3st.
