I have a Sierra 1500 with the 6.2L (107k miles) and 10-speed transmission. When I was driving the motor shut off and when I tried to restart the engine the starter would just crank but no fire. I towed it to a mechanic I’ve been seeing for a while. He hasn’t been able to get around to diagnosing the truck but he sent me a video of him trying to start it. The noises are very concerning; I first thought it was due to a failed fuel pump module but now I’m thinking it’s something a lot more expensive anybody have any ideas as to what this problem could be?

That...does not sound like a bad fuel pump.

Time for a new engine?  Around the forums and facebook pages there are a few 6.2s that keep popping up with bottom end failures.

Right definitely not the fuel pump, what’s weird is that when I was trying to turn on the truck on the side of the road no weird noises were coming from the motor until the guy from the shop sent me that video.
