Huge tree falls on Project Sierra!

Hey Guys!

 

Wow what a day....

 

So we were outside enjoying a wonderful Sunday afternoon. My bro, Mervz, called me up and said he would be dropping off the truck and taking the car.

 

He came and dropped off the truck, and not 10 minutes later we heard a loud cracking noise!

 

I turned around to catch a limb falling from way up in the trees. "Weird, a single limb should make that soun----"

 

Before I could finish that thought, I realized it was the whole tree that was coming down. Was it heading towards my house? Nope!! Phew!

 

That's when I realized what was going to happen... and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Me and my girlfriend watched in horror as we realized one of the bigger trees on my lot was coming down.... right towards the truck!!

 

In slow motion, we watched it fall, blast through my power lines, and land right on the hood of Project Sierra.

 

 

 

As you can see, this tree was on a mission. I mean, what are the chances!? It wasn't windy and it wasn't raining. God knows what made this tree come down today.

 

We took a ton of pictures, and will be posting a bunch tomorrow. The damage is all cosmetic.. hood is trashed, both 1/4 panels are dented up pretty bad, and the roof is dented as well.

 

We will keep everyone posted on the repair, but what would you guys do to make the best out of this "bad" situation?

Well at least is was only cosmetic. Good to hear no one was hurt and it missed the house.

well i see a bed cover but no thread discussing how you decided on the one you picked... looks like you have spare time to do that while its in the body chop

cut the tree up into little bitty pieces and burn it very slooooowly while laughing the evil scientest laugh!!!!

Saw this last night. What a bummer!

 

But a good body shop will have it better than new in no time.

 

I guess it's sort of a good thing it wasn't something from a press fleet you had for a review- that would be an awkward call to the manufacturer!
